Roxy, such a great lecture that should be given to all HS and college students, but even at my age, and years of post grad ed., it was great. I tend to use simple note taking or Cornell. From your previous educational info I have enjoyed using a combo of One note ( my favorite) with Notability since I can record at the same time. I do have but not using as much Good Notes. I would love to use Zoom since I heard you really like it, but did not want to get into the learning curve of using it, I found it a bit cumbersome. Thank you for differentiating between note-taking and note-making. I've never heard of "note-making", and I never could figure out why I was able to take notes during class, but I had a difficult time in my daily life "making" my own notes. It's making the gears in my brain turn - about how I need to figure out the best way for me to "make notes".

This is really good! I had never thought before about the difference between note-taking and note-making. I use the Cornell method fairly often, and it is interesting to realize that it is a hybrid combining both activities. I hope you will have some more thoughts about note taking/making in your workflow series.

Excellent review of note-taking and note-making methods. I think any approach that tends toward the -making side is best, whatever the mechanics, because it's a form of review. Hey, could you review the Sony Digital Paper? I've always thought it would be a good idea to get a single-purpose device optimized for taking/making notes, and DP uses E-ink, which is much easier on the eyes than blue-light LED screens (the standard on most laptops and tablets). This would be immensely helpful for those long hours taking and making notes or just reading.

We have a long list of devices we’d like to try out 😃 Sony Digital Paper included but that requires a budget we currently don’t have. But it’s certainly on our to-do list. 😃

Hello. I need your advice. I am looking for an application that can allow me to (mostly) organize information and if possible, collect them from different sources. For instance I want to be able to study many different versions of the bible in PDF format and then collect the name of all the Kings under one tab that I will call let's say "Kings names" and collect the name of all the Queens under another tab that I will call "Queens names" for instance. Do you think there is an application that can allow me to do something like that? Collect and organise information. Thanks in advance

MarginNote 4 will be great for that. But it’s a steep learning curve. That’s the one I use for my Bible study 😃

When I try to export my images from keynote presentation as a PDF, as you did... I unfortunately have NO LINES next to my images, and NO NUMBERS..Just a blank space.. How do I fix this ?! - anybody..Thank you!

It’s probably a bug. We exported one PDF like that and repeating the export solved the problem
