What about Obsidian, you traitor?!"* A: I still love and use Obsidian, too. My system is a bit weird, because I actually use both Notion and Obsidian. So, Obsidian continues to be my "second brain" more than Notion does, in terms of raw thoughts and learning - as I find that ideas that cross fields (e.g. medicine AI) tend to be more easily cross-referenced in Obsidian due to its strong backlinking system. I use Obsidian specifically for whenever I don't have a solid grasp of curriculum in a particular field, or the field itself is changing rapidly, such as in software engineering/AI. However, Notion is much stronger for coordination with teams, and also I've personally found that I have a much easier time accessing Notion more rapidly, for example when I'm practicing as a doctor and need to reference something quickly for patients on a computer that's not my own. This is moreso borne out of personal habit and circumstance, rather than necessarily a recommendation for most people. Do whatever you like! *Q: "What do I get in the Notion template?"* A: When I make it, the Notion template will basically have the entire system described in this video set up for you in one lovely page. I'm also thinking of throwing in the content creation-type pipelines there too. *Q: "Why this tutorial, rather than others? There's plenty on KZbin already."* A: My aim for this tutorial is to be highly opinionated on what I do and don't actually use. There's lots and lots of tutorials on Notion that are now available on KZbin, but I wanted to make the one that I can just give to my friends if they've never learnt or used Notion before. *Q: "Is this the same as the Notion Skillshare class that you have?"* A: Skillshare used to be great, but they changed how much they pay out to creators. That's an old tutorial, and I tend to get paid out more from KZbin ads where I can release the course for free, than from Skillshare where people have to pay to access the course. Feel free to check out that version if you like, though I don't think it's necessary and this tutorial will be better overall I believe.
