This one to me had the best atmosphere out of all his previous books, loved the spooky old mansion that might or might not be haunted vibes, the creepy old lady that might or might not be evil and paralised vibes, the typewriter chapters, chef kiss. Overall I really enjoyed it, but didn't like/buy some of the twists...

I think I would have enjoyed it more if the 80’s vibes were MORE. Like I kept thinking modern day and thinking why tf don’t they just Google shit?! lol I kept imagining Vanessa Hudgins as Kit!

Surprisingly, I rated this 4 stars, tho I wish RS would set his books in modern day again. It feels like he’s trying SO hard to bring the 80’s campy thriller vibes but it feels the only reason he does is to not have to explain why his characters aren’t using modern technology

Womp womp, I was super disappointed with this one! I found it so boring and hard to keep my attention. If the last 20% had been peppered into the story earlier to have something actually interesting happen it would have been so much better
