Loved them in 1978 and still love them today. The final encore song is still, to this day, the only 45 I ever played back-to-back over and over. And it was only a B-side to 'You've got to pay.' So many great lyrics and tunes.

I was so glad to make this show as over the years I've been "Fated in seeing the Only Ones live... What a brilliant night, so thanks very much for filming & posting it. 👍 Despite some narrow minded & negative comments regarding the filming... I think this have a marvelous intimate edge to it, it certainly captures the atmosphere, energy, along with the joy of the crowd. Brilliant 😎

This is fantastic! The missing titles are Inbetweens at 26.40, It's The Truth at 34.40 and the 2 encore tracks at 1.06.00 are C Voyeurger and This Ain’t All (It’s Made Out To Be). A great show with 3 tracks that were unreleased at the time and 2 of them are still unrecorded!

the band reminds me of the rumour-with a sped up singer let me save you an hour, 52:52 is why you came here!

Not me, sir. I'm a huge fan of the band but can't stand "Planet" - at best an average song blinding the casual fans to superior numbers in their arsenal, i.e., "No Solution", "The Big Sleep", "Creature of Doom", "It's the Truth" and "Miles From Nowhere"

Saw them 1979 at the Leeds Sci-Fi Festival, most of the post - punk bands were there including Joy Division, PIL and the Fall, but this band stood out for me. Deemed ' not punk ' by many and dismissed.

@@RevJock I went up with pragVEC, and Scritti were also mates. It was mainly northern bands, PIL were crap.

@@Jlipnicki Oh wow really? A few of us travelled down from Scotland as one of my mates had moved to Leeds a few months earlier. Heavy drinking sessions followed and, sadly, don't remember much at all :-(

@@RevJock I was lucky to have a place to sleep, on the floor, some slept on the concrete in the hall. Remember blokes in kilts building the stage. It was a northern event. PIL chucked everyone out from the backstage area, bad vibes.

while I really appreciate this video being available, this camera person is the worst. some of the greatest guitar solos ever and he's zooming in on the bass player's face. what a waste.

RevJock oops, didn't realize the poster was the camera man. the anonymity of the internet brought out the worst in me. apologies. if it's any consolation, you win - you were there! Would have loved to have seen them live. BTW, they didn't do it the night I saw them, but The Replacements are doing a cover of Another Girl Another Planet on some nights of their current tour. Cheers

***** no problem. Was a packed show and I was in the middle of a big crowd trying to keep a steady hand with a mini dv camera raised above my head: trying not to block anyone's view was my main priority :-) if I missed a few guitar solos along the way, so be it. Thanks for the info though :-)

Not perfectly filmed maybe but I think it is perfect for capturing a show that would otherwise be a moment in time that only those there got to enjoy. Thanks for taking the time and suffering the discomfort of elevating your arms for over an hour. And it is true that the Replacements were doing a cover. On the Bash and Pop tour (2017 I think) Pete joined them onstage at the Highbury Garage. Was impressive.

He's always had the 'waysted heroin vocals', like Keef and Johnny Thunders. Seen many bands try to emulate it, but theres only way to get it, and the 'elegantly wasted moves'.
