Darth Krayt is a fricking gigachad of a Sith, he survived ordeals that would have killed the vast majority of beings (like extreme torture and experimentation by the Yuuzhan Vong), even death couldn't stop him. He would always rise to fight again and literally had to be thrown into the sun to overcome him. Insane, what a total boss. I really wish we could still get more new Legends lore in addition to SWTOR.

Even his own lieutenant, Darth Wyyrlok III, turned on him and he still emerged triumphant. Jacen and Krayt meeting would have been insane although Vergere indirectly bridges them as you mentioned, this vid makes me want to get back into the post-ROTJ universe lol.

The funny part is that when Jacen was flow walking a skill only he n Luke can do its an esoteric Force ability he learned and saw the vision of The Throne of Balance fate determining that either of the Light would be his daughter Allana Solo or Dark Side being “the Dark Man” whom was Darth Krayt upon the Throne with Allana and Solo’s family as his slaves and the death of Luke Skywalker this vision should he not become a Sith this was the main final nail in the coffin to turn him into Darth Caedus just as much as Lumiya’s grip on him and Vergere’s influence and in the Apocalypse novel Darth Krayt is referred as “the Dark Man” same as Jacen and Luke upon wandering In the Lake of Apparitions after he and Darth Krayt defeated Abeloth he see both Mara Jade wanting to join her and be with her only for her to tell him the Galaxy still needs him and Jacen speaking to him of the Vision he got and there was nothing he could’ve done to prevent Jacen being a Sith.

I have a fun thought, the Dark Man was either the Dark Jedi Set Harth after learning the secrets of Darth Andeddu holocron. I believe their is enough evidence to say that he ran out of a beings capable of holding his power and was forced to imbue his life into his holocron. Its also possible that it was Darth Andeddu after taking Set Harths body and began to live purely in shadows with a small hidden but powerful army

Just clean up story focus a bit. Legends should have been Templet for new Star Wars. All Disney had to do is focus on main characters while avoiding unnecessary side stories. And possibly a happier ending for Chewie and Skywalker kids.😅

This ia why Darth Marr is one of my favorite Sith and characters in SW lore. He aligned with the Jedi and Republic to take down a larger evil, Valkorion. He never had any thoughts of betrayal either, he actually had some respect for the Jedi Grand Master, Satele Shan.

No his only interaction was the mystery of whom he was dubbed “The Dark Man” in the Apocalypse novel that fought besides him in the Lake of Apparitions and Luke wondered whom he was that he was not a Lost Tribe Sith because they didn’t believe in having tattoos and markings on themselves as Darth Krayt did ruling out his affiliation with that faction of the only Sith after The Rule Of Two so Luke didn’t know the history of Krayt in that regard only that he was in Jacen’s vision.

You can blame some of his "doing what needs to be done" philosophy on the Yuuzhan Vong War and Vergere. The two forced Jacen to change and adapt to survive the war and return to his family. But he never truly got the healing war veterans in his position needed. Another example would be Rambo. Look at how he broke down at the end of the first movie. His time in the war severely traumatized him. Not only did he never get the proper healing, he was further traumatized in the later movies.

Dark Krayt became what Darth Gravid tried to do by merging Sith and Jedi teachings together not the Light and Dark. Gravid lost his mind as he didn’t know how to be a Jedi as he, just like the Banite System dictated, became a Sith first. Krayt had the chance to take his Jedi teachings and merged it with Sith teaches especially the ancient teachings of the original Dark Jedi that were outcast on Korriban. Though Krayt also had to go through much greater agony than mental disruptions he was able to merge Sith and Jedi together, at least in his own unique way. Perhaps that was what allowed Krayt to help Luke when Abeloth was present. Not just because she was a much greater evil but his Jedi self could’ve emerge just for a moment to help rather than dominate.

Jacen Solo bought them time. His actions changed the future of Allana Solo going to the darkside and standing with the "dark man" (Krayt) Very unfortunate that he turned Dark and died. He was INSANELY powerful and actually harnassed that power by learning all kinds of techniques. I loved the Legacy of the Force novels and wish they would have just followed those books for the sequels. I think Disney would have had to pay royalties to the authors or something because it doesn't make any sense for them to just change everything like they did.

ForJacen/Kiadus he only had it PART right. I think about the ONLY Force user that can be Good aligned BUT still use Darkside abilities an power would be those Grey or neautral aligned and/OR those with a history of it. An have become wild cards or on they way back to something more balanced or light side. Like Ventress, Quen Lin Viss or Galen/Starkiller Marik. That haave roots so steeped in Dark they choose now to be Good or mostly good...ish... BUT Darkside abilities are so engrained in them they'll probably STILL be using them even at senior citizen an older ages an reaching things like GrandMaster Jedi levels.. pretty sure if ever we saw an Alternative Reality GrandMaster Jedi Starkiller hed STILL be hurling force lightning as one of his MOST deadly an signature Force attacks couple with his signature fighting style

Luke did try to ally with the lost tribe of the sith first aigenst abeloth (They was the ones bringing it up first) but sith do what they do and attempted to backstab/betray luke There is a few other times in history when sith and jedi did acctualy work together, like aigenst a self replicating type of drone, and there is also the sith that was managing the empire that worked together with a jedi grandmaster and ended up turning to the light. he was acctualy demed one of the least evil sith ever in several videos covering that topic, he realy belived in that empire.

Abeloth appeared in the ‘Fate of the Jedi’ novel series. A set of 9 books released between 2009 and 2012/13. Jacen becoming Darth Caedus was during the ‘Legacy of the Jedi’ (should be Legacy of the Force) novel series. Which chronologically ended about 2 years earlier. Jacen had his first vision of Krayt during the NJO novel series. Darth Krayt was featured in the ‘Legacy’ comic series by Dark Horse. Which was set roughly around 140 aby.

@ No. Unfortunately, they only released one novel for one last adventure for the big 3 of the OT after FotJ, and finished the Legacy comics by tying up the loose ends with the One Sith, though the last issue left with something going on. In my head canon, Abeloth returns after the end of the Legacy comics. But without the Dagger and the galaxy in disarray, they had no choice but to regroup and send most of the remaining Jedi / Force Users to Tython to wait things out to keep Abeloth from using or draining them or whatever she did with Force users. Which was probably the purpose of the Tho Yor 37,000 years earlier.
