Join me on my Perler Pokémon journey! I plan on making all the Pokémon including from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet!!
Best tape method tutorial you need! In this video I’ll show you how to do the tape method without going too much into detail. Check out my other tutorials for more in-depth information! Doing the tape method will help make consistently better Pokémon perlers. Yes, it takes longer but it’s worth it for a better end result. Considering how long they take, DONT CUT CORNERS! I wish I knew about the tape method when I used perler beads as a kid, because even though the peg boards I had didn’t become warped, the pegs did become melted, especially when I tried making little picture frames with them, although it’s not very surprising now that it was the pegs that didn’t get covered with the beads that got melted down, as a kid couldn’t figure out y (Although that was back when they were called Melti beads, & now they r called Perler, it’s amazing how companies tend to change names of products to make it come across as a fresh new idea, I mean take a look at Silly bands they r currently being called crazy bands, which unless u grew up using them, u r not gonna notice those little tidbit 😂) Sorry I don’t mean to ramble on with this comment, I’ll stop now 😂

Looks like all those wrinkles in that used sheet of parchment paper transferred into the melted perler
@FuryousD
@FuryousD 9 ай бұрын
U can get rid of that by ironing the paper b4 ironing the perler, the iron will iron those wrinkles out of the paper.

When you flip it over, could you leave it on the pegboard and then lift the pegboard off of the perler? That would provide stability for the bigger pieces.

What program do you use too get your measurements? Also do you have any tips on dealing with tape resido after you trying too pull the tape off the beads? Loving the content, keep it up ❤️

All the pokemon i make are the in game sprites, so 1 pixel is 1 bead. If i had to guess you are using masking tape. Try using Painters tape. It has similar sticky power but doesnt leave any residue. Thankfully the beads are resistant so you can use something like goo gone to clean them off. Thank you for the comment!

Why do you tape and remove them from the peg boards before ironing them? I recall when I did these back when I was a child they would be ironed right ok th e boards…?

Is it ok if you instantly iron it with parchment tape
@FuryousD
@FuryousD 9 ай бұрын
That exists?, if it does im sure it would work, why not do a small scale test and find out if it does like I have been doing with different methods since I started doing perler art recently.

But why did you place the books on top of it? It already was pretty cool.
@FuryousD
@FuryousD 9 ай бұрын
To stop the design from curling/bowing in the center, the books help weigh it down so it stays flat until it's completely cooled down.

Wait, so if you do it like this, you don't need to melt the other side?
@beadamonpixels
@beadamonpixels 9 ай бұрын
Nope. I fully melt one side to get a very strong connection between the beads. I like this way because they can bend in half and not break

wait, so what happens to the tape when you iron it? it melts into it?
@FuryousD
@FuryousD 9 ай бұрын
No, the tape doesn't melt to the perlers, u peel it off once the back side has melted together, then u can flip it over and do the front side if u want both sides ironed.

@FuryousD
@FuryousD 9 ай бұрын
@mylittlepantings8660 because it looks better that way imho, u can melt both sides flat, 1 side flat and slightly melt the other side to keep the bead look, both sides slightly to keep the bead look on both sides or like in the video just iron one side and leave the other side unmelted, this makes them more flexible so u can bend them without breaking them too easily. It's personal opinion on what the artist likes best really.
