Hey Jade! I would appreciate if you'd help me out with a question:) I have been binge watching your videos and I think I am almost ready to start posting! However, my audience is complicated, so I struggle with choosing hashtags. I create art about spirituality but my content/art is also about the troubles that come with my healing journey such as adhd, relationships etc. I find it hard to determine my key hashtags. Will it be successful to use: 1) #artist #spirituality and #adhd in each post (or is this to various), 2) use #adhd or #narcisism only when relevent to that post, or 3) sticking to basic hashtags like #paint and #art overall. Do you think you can niche down too far? I know my audience really well and I know exactly who they are. My worry is that maybe it’s too small of a niche. Because it’s specifically CrossFiters so it’s already a niche within the fitness niche. Then I’m specifically targeting the women like me in larger bodies just trying to do CrossFit to better their health and for fun with a body positivity/self acceptance angle. When you were saying “it pushes content out to audiences of similar profiles” it made me think there really aren’t any similar profiles at all. Especially not big ones. I wonder if I should broaden my niche wider than CrossFiters.

Do more things to capture attention. Do more reels. Add cuts. Do analytics research of who is watching and cater to them. learn how to maximize descriptions. The algorithm changes often, you need to change often as well.

That’s what I struggle with a lot and idk if that hurts or helps my account with the algorithm by having them following me? I don’t engage with them at all or follow them back and I always find legit real people to interact with but the spam accounts come out of nowhere it seems 😕

Hello! I'm not Jade but I'm a social media manager so I can help you. I have a client who had the same issue. A lot of dms and comments with fake accounts and spams. The reason why, it was because of his hashtags. Usually, the scammers goes to some # and comment on the posts. Maybe it's your case. You need to find if they are comming trought any #, usually the most trendy. Having fake people following you will affect the algorithm, YES! Because you need to have a true audience and Instagram will detect that you have ghost followers and assume that if they are not interacting is because they don't like your content. It's always good to keep away ghost followers, those who don't interact, because there are a lot of accounts with 1000k and only 100 of them engages with the content. So, try to find the # that they are comming from, if you have any and clean up. You can always contact and hire me to manage your social media/business. Hello! I'm not Jade but I can anwser you. You need to know the best hour to your own audience. Because there is no recipe. You need to check and track the metrics, Instagram event tolds you the hours that your audience is most online/active, and the days. For some of my clients their audience are more active at 10am. This depends on your own audience. You can post whenever you want, but to make sure that you get more reach you should know when your followers are moslty active. You can see in the insights but if you can't find it you can always search on Google! Also there are days when people are moslty off, for example friday. But that doesn't applies for all of us.
