I like the Hero Shot Replica, though I do wish it wasn't just a reskinned Splattershot. Like I kinda wanted at least a Splat Bomb with it or something. But it looks cool so I do like it, best Hero Shot design between all 3 different game imo.

I have been playing this game nonstop since launch, and I'm only barely halfway to getting the gold badge on my splattershot jr while the people I play against have 3 golden badges

Don’t feel bad about it, it takes a TON of non-stop grinding to get gold badges. Or hacks. But it takes forever playing normally and that’s okay. I only have gold on bamboo because I pushed myself on it for a while.

@@TheCosmicCloud bro me and you are just alike. Towards the start of 2 i would only use n zap across all the modes but then eventually I branched out and now in 3 I use splattershot for rainmaker. I can't really tell if suction bombs object damage is higher than other bombs especially after they nerfed it so it doesn't hit for 220 but it certainly does feel like it

with the splattershot, ttek splattershot, octoshot replica, heroshot replica and order shot replica, the splattershot can be 25 star’d. it can also be the weapon in each freshest fits slot.

Now that Order Shot and Octo Shot are ALSO out and ALSO Splat shot reskins, Here’s my take on how they should’ve done them to make each weapon different. Splattershot: Suction Bomb Trizooka. Keep it the same, I like it like this. Overall well rounded, helps get new players accustomed to the game. Hero Shot: Either Curling or Burst Bomb (It’s not Splat and Smallfry isn’t available for use outside of Alterna) and Triple Splashdown (Splatoon 2 Splashdown is already available for use in Alterna so just update it and boom) Order Shot: (This one was tricky for me since it’s 4’s pallet but in Side order it is LITERALLY JUST THE SPLATTERSHOT KIT. So instead I went with something similar to what you used in Splatoon 2’s story mode.) Autobomb (only other options are splat and curling, and I wanna make it different from the others) and Booyah Bomb. (In Splatoon 2 it ALSO had Splashdown, and again, I wanted variety, so I gave it Booyah Bomb since it’s the better of the specials and it reminds me of the rainmaker explosion, which was used in Splatoon 2’s final boss.) Octo Shot: Legit? Splat Bomb Inkjet. Keep the kit it had in Splatoon 2. Splat 3’s faster pace buffs it anyway. The fact it didn’t have it already surprises me tbh.

It’s bothered me since Splatoon 2 when I unlocked all of the hero weapons that it was just the originals with a different design. I feel like the rewards for putting in the effort to get these guns should be more than just a different design.

The hero shot replica is a cool weapon and a sweet design, the only problem I have with it that I see everyone having the same issue and that is that the weapon is a reskin of the splattershot with the same sub and special. It would be nice if they gave the weapon a new kit to make the hero shot replica and the splattershot as separate weapons such as the sub could be a splat bomb and the special could be a splashdown since in the story mode the weapon had a splashdown as it's special, that special could be exclusive to the hero shot replica to make the weapon special itself

Getting 4 Stars doesn't take that long if you stick to one weapon for a while, but the gap between 4 and 5 Stars is pretty huge. I'm not sure exactly how long, but it's definitely a grind. I have over 500 hours in the game and Hero Shot is only my 2nd 5 Star gun
