The most fun things are playing sports. Basketball, soccer, & tennis are top 3 for me. I feel for KB if he couldn’t have fun playing tennis - maybe if he’s super new and isn’t good but I promise if you stick with it and get to just decent it is a blast. I agree that golf sucks. Too much standing around and failing is frustrating. If you fail on a play in basketball, soccer, tennis, the next play is right there again and you can put your effort into doing better immediately, which is fun.
