I'm glad I randomly ended up on your video explaining why you don't build Cecia when I started the game. I partially follow your advice and decided to invest the bare minimum into her (M+ & Hero focus) and focused heavily on building Odie aside. Once I got Odie EX+10, it was insane how fast I was able to push through AFK stages. After that, I barely used her in AFK. I don't regret the way I invested in Cecia, I still use her in specific case in PVP and PVE when I need control and/or "AOE" damages. In my opinion, I got the best from both worlds, being able to compete asap and staying competitive

When I start a new game one of the first things I do is go to KZbin and see which CC’s have the most informative content for that game. I’ve been doing it forever (Been gaming for too long lol) so I know what I’m looking for. I just started AFK Journey and I’m not gonna lie, there are parts of it where I’m downright lost/confused. There are so many game mechanics to learn and if you are a competitive person like me it’s frustrating when you don’t pick them up quickly. There are so many guides but it was hard to find ones that covered the issues I was facing. Stumbling upon your channel was like opening a present on Christmas morning. I feel like I’m still in the learning process and I know that I’m soaking it all in and once I feel a lot more confident I’ll start another account so I can chase the meta because currently I’m lucky if I get top 10% in Dream Realm in my server. I haven’t been so lucky on my wishes on this account. My units are level 100 and my only Mythic plus is Eironn (though aside from Odie he is my other fave unit) so needless to say that makes clearing things harder. Thank you for these amazing/informative guides!! You deserve all the subs as a creator for this game 👏👏👏👏👏

Thanks for the video Zeeebo. Another variation to this team I've really liked is the addition of Reiner for Koko and Brutus for antandra. Just have Reiner swap Brutus for high priority enemy, odie will nuke that target down and start snowballing, all the while Brutus occupies enemy backline with taunt and invulnerability, it's a fun comp. Thank you so much for this guide, im really struggling at 900+afk stage with Cecia in Legendary, coz with the boosted afk rewards and essence at higher lvl im leveling up my resonance well but im always stuck without world synergy help bcoz of less proficiency

I used the Cecia Odie combo for a long time, but I switched to an all Mauler team in the late afk stages because it just works way better. I got to 1125 because of it. That was before even seeing this video, so I can vouch that this team is glorious for afk and story stages

I don't understand why you framed it as investing in Odie or Cecia discussion. I mean yes, you're using 1 or the other as your main carry. However to me it's not a question of investing in one or the other as they come from different places, as you're mostly going to get Cecia copies from the arena shop. The 1 free copy you start with along with another from your wish list than 2 more from arena shop and you're at mythic. That's way faster than you can ever get for Odie unless you're a big spender. So initially there's really no reason to go for Odie instead of Cecia Imho, you just save your dream shards and if you at the point where you can get Odie all the way to mythic+ than by all means spend those shards into Odie and than start using him. Using Odie over Cecia before mythic+ is a losing proposition Imho as Odie will be outperformed by Cecia in basically every mode, and it's not like you're sacrificing Odie to get Cecia early. You're using all hero rolls for both and they're from different factions and tiers so not even a competition on your wish list. To me the only question is how far you should push Cecia, whether you only get 1 copy to get her to mythic(along with the 2 arena copies) than switch her off your wish list for Carolina or get a few more copies to push her further rather than wait a month for the arena store to refresh. The other question is since you're using Cecia is to actually bother getting Odie when you get mythic+ him or save those dream shards for Marilee to push dream realm further. That's a much more interesting discussion to have Imho, regarding Marilee vs Odie in dream realm and mythic+ Odie vs mythic or more Cecia in other content. Maybe Odie outperforms Cecia in PvE/PvP after mythic+, I'm not sure, but that's the better question to ask Imho rather than whether to use 1 over the other at the start.

im glad to see alternative ways of playing this game as f2p. Cecia is a pretty solid unit and can help you push stages but imo shouldn't be taken as "The Only Way" to progress in the game. however, mauler meta is still up there. hard to find alternatives early on

I managed to beat 1125 using a Mythic Cecia and S+ Vala, Rowan, and Igor along with a S Lucius. It also ended up being my PvP team that's kept me in Champion for several weeks now. The Vala+Igor combo carried me immensely, because Igor just doesn't die and Vala goes invis and keeps healing with the +10 EX from each kill.

I finished the afk stages at reso 190(4 are 200) while not using cecia aswell ( i used her for my 2nd team tho) , the thing im proud of is, i have only 3 heroes ascended beyond m+ that being hewyn vala and rowan.

My cecia is still epic she still does what she needs to and there are a lot of places I don’t use her anymore. Arena, world bosses, dream realm etc. I have been going for Cassidy in the arena shop because she’ll pair nicely with odie and she can match ur dps while supporting

I'm quite sure odie's skill up adds just 2 extra range as it says increased TO 7 tiles I have also seen him walk up on smaller maps that are split in the middle by a wall which shouldn't be the case with a unit that almost has a boss range

Pretty interesting strategy and many useful tips, but in general not optimal for f2p/low spender progression. It also relies on strong Thoren (which is purely luck based), and mythic+ Odie, which also takes loads of time. Till that point is reached, progress will be absolutely mediocre. On the other hand, there one free Cecya copy, and playing arena from day 1st, you get another one on the 4th day playing from arena shop. Having her in both wishlists, you need only little luck to get her m+ early, which will skyrocket your ratings. Which will allow you to cumulate the rewards early. The optimal strategy is to invest in Cecia till m+, and also invest in the focus and weapon at least till 5. And just gather copies of Odie in parallel. Having both of m+ will also give more playing options, and also two strong carries for double stages.

Not true. you dont need Odie to be m+ to progress easily, let alone Thoran, I use odie smokey antandra rowan koko as f2p (odie is mythic atm) and I'm almost in stage 1000 as f2p

Not saying Odie is not a fantastic unit for mid to late game content clearing, but I gotta disagree that you can run him in the early game on a f2p account easily until you get him to m+ at minimum. I've had my f2p account with a similar team setup for weeks after I started and only just now within the last few days got Odie to m+, and it was extremely difficult to clear content with that team without a "better" early game dps. Not enough damage, not enough crowd control, not enough survivability when pushing content at a heavy power deficit. Now once you get him to m+? Heck yes, he wrecks face and you can push way higher than your team level with smokie and koko combo. But before that? Not so much. So I would definitely recommend at least 1 copy of cecia to help you push until you can get odie to m+. And I would also have to argue a bit against antandra as the 2nd tank/support on the team. Yes, her ability sounds awesome, but her survivability just isn't the same as say grannie dahny or brutus for getting your back line to ultimate before your frontline dies. And I'm talking heavy power deficit pushing, not just 1 or 2 levels above your characters, I'm talking like 20+ levels above. For that, thoran and brutus combo is way better because the enemies usually just can't pop them fast enough before your back line cecia (or odie if he is m+), start to massacre the enemy team.

@@igors7398 but how much of a power deficit are you pushing at any particular time? 20 levels? 30? 40? And sure, your odie may not be m+, but what about your supports? Your tanks? I find it very difficult to believe that you are pushing a high power deficit with only odie below m+ as your primary source of damage.

Hey zeebo, thanks for the content. I also use cecialess comp with vala as main carry ( I got lucky and got her to mythic+ as a f2p) However, due to some reasons i was unable to play the game for 10 days and am far behind everyone on my server. I can only get like 30%-40% rank in dream realm. Do you suggest starting a new account on a fresh server or can i still play this account even if im behind? ( i am lucky to get vala and thoran both to mythic + as a f2p and have cleared around 650 afk stages)

Odie falls off in dream realm and pvp in ultra late game with most dream teams running marilee,korin,coco,smokey with kruger. This team outdamages odie because of synergy. In pvp odie is one of least used character too. Odie was god like in ptr but now after nerfs and other changes regarding A heroes, you're better off spending on dream team separately and raising Cecilia for pve content pushing.

@@igors7398 lvl up Cecilia to S+ through buying copies from emporium only and bring her ex to 5 only. I am only advising to max invest into dream realm and keep Cecilia for afk stages for a bit more time till you get up other heroes to S+. Faster progression in earlier stages will bring you top 100 in dream realm in early game atleast for a month, a lvl 170 Cecilia will still outdamage a lvl 150 odie
