Even for the Arabic word, most of the definitions are clay based, and elsewhere in the Quran the word clay is used, such as Surah 15 where 'resounding clay' is used. Clay can be made into clay vessels which have a certain twang to them when used. Soil and sand would not make 'resounding' noises in structures made from these, and do not have the sticky element silicon in the same silicon complexes found in clay material which make the particles adhere to one another when moistened. If clay is not the correct English word to use in these verses in the Quran, why do translators such as Yusuf Ali use the word 'clay', as they are experts.

Why are Christians so adamant about finding faults with the Quran when your own bibles are riddled with errors and contradictions ? Shouldn't you guys be more concerned about that than someone else's religion? Does that not show the insincerity of Christians? I'm actually quite keen to know why ?

To The Brothers Salam The question that Robin Boom brought up about Allah AwJ commanding the Angles to "BOW DOWN", and this being a form of WORSHIP. As Language works is that it any term has it's meaning from the context AND also from the Capability of the term. For instance the Term WIND can be understood and APPLIED differently when the "WIND" is a Solar WIND or a WIND which is Earthly. They would be expressed similarly but APPIED differently. The same would apply to Prostration. For Humans Prostration would be a FORM of Worship, while For Angles it would be an Acknowledgement that Adam was Superior in some fashion. The question being HOW do Angels PROSTRATE? Do Angels have a FORM of Worship that is NOT Prostration? Most likely yes, since they are NOT Human and are Not subject to Human Rules. It is ONLY for Humans to Worship in this manner. And this is only because Allah AwJ has DECREED that Prostration is the Ultimate form of Worship for Humans. For US we also Stand erect AND Bow before Allah. These are also Forms of Worship. And No Muslim has a Problem "STANDING in FRONT of another Man or Bowing for that matter. So this question is Not an Logical Comparison. Salam.

Peace be upon you. 🙂 If you’re talking about the daily 5 times obligatory prayers, which only takes few minutes, then the answer is: we pray them because God commanded us to do so. If God commanded us to do something then it has wisdom behind it. One of the wisdom we can see is that it refocuses us, redirects us to God throughout the day. It helps us spiritually, mentally, gives us God consciousness, protect us from sins and Satan's influence, benefits physically by moving our limbs in certain ways, etc. But let's say even if we didn’t realize the wisdom behind something that God commanded to do, we should still do it because God commanded it, we submit to his will as he knows better than us. When it comes to the informal/voluntary prayer that we can pray at any time, at any place, in any way, that's up to us whether we want to do it or not, whether we feel the need to ask God or not, whether we want to thank God for something or not, or praise him or not, etc. Does that answer your question? 🙂 Are you a revert? And why are the brothers trying to dance around the word clay? What the hell does silicon have to do with anything? Allah creates what HE wills from whatever HE wills. How is that different from their belief that a word became flesh? The word of Allah becomes whatever HE wills it to become. I don't understand Robin's "scientific" stance when he believes zombies walked the streets of Jerusalem, or Jesus raised the dead and healed the blind, or Moses parting the sea. This is an absolutely idiotic argument for people who believe in the miracles of God
