I had nothing but hatred for LBJ mainly because of the war .But all these years later and after much research I feel differently towards him and Lady Bird I respect and even admire them. I still do not agree with many of his policies But I understand them

fascinating books! I've always wanted to meet the queen or prince charles. but top of the list is LBJ just to see what he was like :D need to keep your wits about you knowing there's guys like him around

Jack D--You have come as close as anyone has to summing up LBJ: He was basically a very sharp and opportunistic rube who led the country down the path to Viet Nam because he felt he needed to repay his friends (Brown & Root et al) for their support of him through the years.
