5 Billion options were traded in 2018. The secret isn't IF every trader should use options (they should), the secret is precisely WHEN and HOW to use them. Only the Top 1% know the answers. How is that possible? Felix shows proof that the existing Options Education is incomplete, putting the average investor at an incredible disadvantage. He's taken all the guesswork out of trading options with a simple yet powerful tool that gives you the answers.

AAPL needed to be at 185.33, but that means when the stock price go up the option value of that strike would change as well.....right?

Marty schwartz- The best option trader in the world said it very simple. Is a fact that 95% of the options expire worthless. This tells me I need to be a seller. Now buying an option is so hard no matter what. The top 1% has more capital to do better research and to come out with the idea. When buying an option you must be right on time on price and volatility. If your stock moves your way but the volatility of the option does not than YOU WILL LOSE MONEY!!!!! I rather sell vertical spreads far out the money and let them expire worthless . You can easily find your idea on the selling side. Let say stock xyz is trading at x price and the monthly ATR (avarage true range) is 20 now you wait until that stock has got to a -20 or +20 and wait for the turn. Than you sell your option 30 days out and collect a premium. Now what option do you sell? Well depending on if your idea is for the stock to go down than you sell a call 25 points out if the stock is moving against you than you know the atr is 20 so you are some what safe, and the same for the put side. 1 idea ( stock moves up and down 20) 2 idea stock is beat and has had a run of 20 so you know from probabilities and history that it has to come down. Now why this type of trading? Simple !!!95% of options expire worthless!!!! So you are selling a product that will expire worthless and you will collect your premium for just taking the risk witch by you doing what i told you ,you are putting the adds on your favor. Remember trade liquid stocks and never ever trade through earnings.!!

"Is a fact that 95% of the options expire worthless." This statement needs context and by itself doesn't mean much. Respectfully, I wouldn't make that statement the premise of your argument. You can sell or buy options and make money. The act of selling options does not offer any edge. However, a process like you described, may offer an edge. Lastly, the use of IV is overrated for the average investor. Just trying to help you out. The process you described does sound interesting and I am glad (or at least) hope it works for you. - Best, Felix

Hello, Thank you for replying back and for me this has been the way to make consistent money as I am not good at picking breakout trades or good stocks. Now what I meant by 95% is that in fact most of the options do expire worthless and is very small % of options that expire in the money. Now implied volatility might be over rated but is a fact the option has a better premium when there is an event near future or uncertainty in the markets. The main reason I sell options is because options tend to be over price and time decay is on my side and I can be somewhat wrong on direction and still be profitable as long as the option does not touch my strike price. In addition now days I do tend to take profits right away if the option turns profitable and if I can get 50% right away.

@@paulojustinianookubo Totally fair. You are making your money off your process. There is no edge in just buying or selling the option or the fact that the %s are what they are. If an option has a 80% chance of going out worthless, then the market is saying that IF you lose, then you can expect to lose 4x the premium. Of course, you can often get out before the losses rack up that big. But there are clear instances where that is not the case. This risk of losing multiple times your money on any given day is why the options are generally "expensive" when looking at IV vs historical averages. Call it the "risk premium" that the seller absorbs. Now be careful with "time decay is on my side" argument... You are giving something up for that. It's called Leverage. Buyers don't look at time decay as a "bad" thing. They are getting leverage for that time decay, and leverage can make you a lot of money. I know many online gurus promote the selling message, but the Top investors in the world generally buy options. They buy it for 2 reasons: Limited Liability & Unlimited Potential. They are very specific when they use options. In the right situation, buying options is a dream. Good luck!
