This was my worst puzzle box yet, all those pieces falling out that shouldnt fall out, lots and lots of wooden splinters, the main locking mechanism can be opend instantly without solving any puzzles before and the whole thing just wasnt logical at all. This was my 10th box and by far the worst.

Sadly, this is a horrible puzzle box. Mine wasn't falling apart like yours was, but you missed that there IS a moving piece on one side that gives you the other key to the combination. That piece, for you, was slotted in so sideways it looked stuck. Mine was completely sideways so it was impossible for me to figure it out logically. I ended up doing what you did, which is just brute force it open since there are VERY few combinations to test. As a puzzle box, this is the worst one I've ever bought, and, in fact, I'm returning it and not replacing it, since the one piece is in the wrong direction. The one thing this has going for it is that it has a relatively HUGE compartment for a gift. ESC Welt just isn't putting out quality puzzles like idventure. I hope they return to this one like they did the Fort Knox one and make a "Pro" version of it where they fix the mistakes/qa issues, make the puzzles make more sense, and focus on it being an easier puzzle with a HUGE inner compartment. I think they'd have a great product if they did. As is, this just doesn't cut it.

Okei I wanna help clear up the confusion about the logic of this puzzle for everyone! Major spoilers ahead... . . . So first thing: I accidentally solved it without using 2 sides of the box which I thought were red herrings but looking back they do have clues after all. Step 1 - the piece that falls out and works as a key to move other bits around, use that to do the slide puzzle on the back, which lets you unlock the bottom where you technically already have enough information to solve. This also releases the bars that go through the lid. Step 2 - right side? The one that looks like a gear shift? This one seems confusing but as you slide the piece around on its track you will see the small holes line up with either an X or a triangle symbol, and each of those little holes is linked (not very obviously) to one of the letters. By moving the sliding panel so that it lines up a symbol in the box next to each letter in sequence, you get only one set that shows all triangles (good symbol) and no Xs, which is ELYK, letting you know that Q is one of your goal letters. Step 3 - left side (planet side) easy, just line up the boxes and see that only one line goes through and touches letter U, so that's the other goal letter. The clue in the description of the puzzle is trying to avoid the environmental hazards, the tornado, storm, and tidal wave, but the line and dots is there if you didn't read the intro. Step 4 - now check the bottom and see that Q and U line up with X and Z respectively, with Zand X being on top. So going up to the lid, turn the front and back dials until one shows Z over U and one shows X over Q, and then look at the etching near the 3rd symbol that shows up when the dials are lined up. There is a plug or cable kind of shape connecting the ZU display to the right and the XQ display to the left, so match up the corresponding symbols and the lid is unlocked! If both symbols don't match, turn the top and bottom dials 180 degrees and try again (all the letters should be aligned to the right side of the lid). May this clear up the fairly indirect logic of the puzzle, have a good day all.

My Puzzle was already sold after I bought it. The inner piece was missing. I tried to figure out what to do, ended up going backwards and putting it back together. Was just a big disappointment. I don’t think I will buy a puzzle from them again. Money thrown away.

What inner piece are you meaning? There seems to be no locking mechanism at all on my box.

@@mzbatman I mean the “prize” (spaceship) that is seen on the video. It wasn’t inside. Instead, there were the pieces that come out when you solve the puzzle. So I just opened the box and got the pieces out and put them back together,
