Great advice. For an easier first antlion kill…hide on top of the Lego and wait for the ants and antlions to fight and kill it once it’s weakened. You MAY be able to lure one with a Lure Arrow, but I’m drawing a blank on which chip unlocks that. Not sure you’d have that at this time.

One more reason why pond should be before haze lab is because of the Toxicology badge you get in the pond lab. Having an indestructible badge that makes you immune to gas damage is better than a helmet that can potentially break in my opinion.

Just a heads up sticky smoothies heal and regenerate. Use gum as a base and make questionable slop,3 clovers or whatever you want just three random items. Yes the beefy ones heal good but no regenerate like the sticky.

I feel like he’s overhyping the black anthill a lot. I did the black anthill with ladybug armor and an antlion great sword, hell i did it even before the haze lab. It was relatively easy as long as you take the ant soldiers on one by one. The fact that he said do the brood mother before the anthill kinda makes me question this, since i did the brood mother with a spicy coaltana and full black widow armor and couldn’t even get it near death. My personal opinion for the order is: Oak lab Hedge Lab Black anthill Haze lab Pond lab Broodmother Mantis Schmector

1 thing I would like to say is that it's a good idea to bring materials to craft a storage container with you so the you can build it outside of the labs and then fill it up with all of your materials. Inventory management in this game is crazy hard because there are so many different types of materials you'll need. It can be tricky to move the container with you if you're in an area with alot of hostile bugs but I do it all the time and don't have many problems. Just make sure you place it and then relocate it often so that it doesn't go back 100s of meters if you get into combat. Of course you can't do this for all if the bases but this is a good strategy for all resources collecting even if you have resource stacks maxed out using milk molars. I wish the devs would add a backpack or something so that my Inventory isn't constantly full bit this is the best work around I've found.

This. But I would also add that you can wall off a pet and have it active to gain 10 slots of remote storage from anywhere on the map, pets are worth it to have just for the inventory space alone, also lets you keep your healing items when you use the new hot deposit all command.

I feel like the story for the audio log makes it go by oak lab, Hedge lab, Haze lab after you get proper gear and a bass with emergency healing items then Pond lab after the tape audio said then Black ant hill lab in the trash era after that the upper yard you need a really well prepare lay out and gear with a right base for many things that comes to attack, after that you can go to the final lab after the final lab head to the secret lab in the Castel toy structure then you can start preparing to finish the game while unlocking all the milk molars and all the gear to level 9 while getting the other hidden or special gear from bosses that the yard provide from the talented Grounded divs that put there hard work into making them

*spoilers* If I ever start the game over I’ll wait until the very last minute to do the undershed lab because of those annoying ORC insects that randomly find you no matter where you are for the rest of the game. I’ll build defenses around the MIXR modules, build my bridge to castle Moldorc, do all my weapon and armor crafting and upgrading or whatever else I want to achieve in the game before doing that lab and the rest of the story.

For me and my friend, our progression wasn’t too outrageous or out of order. It’s gone like: -Oak Lab -Hedge -Red Ants -Pond -Haze - Explored Upper yard(we built up near the picnic table up to the bbq pit) -Picnic Table/Sandbox(we noped out of the sandbox as soon as we made it up) -Black Ants(we made the whole armor set thinking we’e have camouflage like the red ant set) -Explored the sandbox(for real now) -Unlocked Undershed -Fought Broodmother(we just wanted to test if we’d win, and we DID.) -Finished Undershed -Beat Schmector(We struggled a lot on him, until i made my broodmother club sour) Were currently preparing to fight the mantis, after that brew the cocktail and finish this damn game already!

@@adopted9457 You should go againts spiders, I recommend having healing because poison is something that you really don’t want to deal with. Also, insect axe for the spiders and bombirdier beetles, and then kill both to get spider armor and bombirdier parts.

Your suggestion to fight the Broodmother before the Black Ant Lab makes no sense to me, as you need an Oven to prepare the BLT. This requires charcoal, from the Upper Yard and feels significantly more mid-game than the Lower Yard.

The Assistant Manager was really easy. All you need is the Mosquito needle and lady bug armor and it's a super simple straight forward fight. I actually did the ant lion place before I touched the pond lab

I went to the sandbox right after the hedge lab with a lvl 5 rotten ant club, just built right up to it. As long as you're good at perfect block you'll be alright against the antlions

Thanks Sim. I’m surprised you didn’t mention the Berry Monster hidden lab in the east retaining wall. I’d think since you need a bomb to get into the Haze, you might as well get the Rotten Berry Charm and Pinch Whacker before taking on the Haze and/or Broodmother. I did see they nerfed it, but it’s still lvl. 3, right? Any thoughts from the Grounded community?

for the haze lab, I entered through the exposed pipe enterence and you don't need any bomb or even a gas mask to get into it. It's technically located on the outskirts of the haze so no toxic gas, i will warn anyone going this way that you dont need a bubble helmet or anything but the merteen mutation is very helpful since you have to swim (but theres enough air bubbles so you'll be ok) to get to the lab, also bring spears because there are a lot of fleas and a few spiders but the fleas are easy to kill with regular pebble spears! As for the secret labs, I haven't found any yet, where is the berry monster one located?

Gives rotten weapons Rotten Deluge and I’m wondering if it does the same for armor. Only says weapons so maybe not. The best part is the lvl 3 Pinch Whacker. No having to mess with termites for a lvl 3 axe.

It's no longer considered an axe so you'll still need to mess with termites eventually to get that sweet lvl3 axe. Pinch Whacker is still a good weapon though.

Can you give some suggestions on what upgrade our gear should be? Like I'm at T1, and aside from the ant club (which is 2 handed so no shield) and the koi armor, not other armor seems too difficult. Ladybugs are ok to fight, been using the bone dagger but breaks so fast and even at lvl 5 it seems weak, wolf spiders are hell so spiders items are out of question. Just not sure what to do.

Bone dagger is probably one of your weaker options on dry land. Orb weavers are easier to kill than wolf spiders, so start with them. Easiest weapon to get you through early game is crossbow/bow

I would say at that point you need to start looking at the weaknesses of each bug you will fight, not the candy weaknesses, but the slashing, busting, etc weaknesses

Here is what to do: Create a custom match; Find a bug you want to deal with; Put a bed right beside it; Fight until you can perfect block every attack; Load your main save and get any parts you want; With an ant club you can easily fight wolf spiders, bombardier Beatles… you don’t even have to get tier 1 armour. You can jump straight to spider or ladybug armour.

I do pond first because it is shorter and barely have any fight compared to the hedge lab. Hedge is disorienting for me as first timer and so easy to fall down and getting mauled by stink bugs and orb weavers. Pond also for the easiest tier 2 armors: koi armor. Then I choose the haze lab because it open more needed crafting stuffs than the black ant lab.

Don't necessarily need antlion parts, you can eat 10 mint shards to get level 3 fresh defense n just quickly mine ea h piece without taking too much damage. The healing pools nearby mean you don't need to waste too many heals

If its any help to anybody I recently found a glitch on accident. I was in the sandbox dying from the sizzle and fighting a antlion at the same time so I'm running for cover and come up to the door for the lab. I have my back to it and was fighting it off. I'm not a hundred percent sure what attack but it knocked me through the door, and at this time I didn't have the keycard. But if its any help to you guys then there you go.

Hey sim absolutely love your vids! Been watching you since day one grounded I do gotta rant for a moment though so your list for doing labs is spot on but a couple things caught me at a crossroads first is after the haze lab you say go kill the broodmother which will help with the AM fight which it will but in order to even make the BLT you need an oven which requires evercoal which is incredibly hard to get at that point of the game not only do you need to go into the sandbox but also the armor barely helps to get the coal and it’s constantly spurts fed by wolf spiders and BS larva so incredibly hard for new players it seems after the haze lab the game goes from 1 to 10000000000 in a second and to me it seems like bad game design i have been playing since launch but I deleted all my old Saves to start fresh and it’s been pretty ridiculous the massive difficulty difference after the haze it makes no sense that you cannot make the BLT at the kitchen and also I seen one of your later videos spoiler alert! But the fridge is end game like end game end game! By that point nobody really needs the fridge which makes no sense to me they didn’t add it borderline after the pond or something what do you think? I’m sorry this msg is so long but it just seems after the full release they made thing bass akwards and made it significantly harder for newer players

The game ends when you are no longer small. You can stop doing the main story just before completing the undershed to avoid the random orc attacks (which will never subside) or you can pause it just before you activate it to get big again...but the orcs will continue to randomly attack you forever at that point. If you do complete the game, you could load a savegame prior to that point again.

I would suggest you get the spicy coaltana and the mint mace upgraded to help you out with that. The coaltana is in the blue bag near the grill and the mint mace recipe is found in the picnic burgl chip

Granted the I would get the mint mace first since its a good weapon and for the spicy weapon you fight spicy larvas, and I would also suggest ant lion armor with fresh defense mutation at lvl. 3

My first lab for super chip was hedge then red ant then haze lab then black ant lab and then I think im planning to do pond lab the assistant was hard bc I had pinch whacker weevil shield and red ant armor whitout the red ant head piece (edit) after 1 year i found this comment heres the story after this i did the pond lab stump card most tapes and when i was going to beat ant man i died many times and on my last attempt i died while almost there with all my items and i got demotivated then after a year i restarted grounded deleted my old almos end game save and started a new one now i just finished hedge lab on my new save on 2024 8 jun
