Thanks Dean! So sad ! I’ve left churches over serious doctrinal issues and seen people stay behind because they are in positions or for social reasons. Very sad.

Excellent message...my husband and daughter are caught up in a tainted church. Its painful to see the division it causes. A dead household. Disappointing and hard to witness this happen to people you love and will not listen to messages warning such as this one.

I pray for Jacob, but am sorry to say, that he is not without his own doctrinal blind spots. So who will teach him? Jacob's disbelieves the doctrine of Election and eternal security. Accordingly, he will flatly deny OSAS. Yet he preaches the election of Israel! He is free to deny it, perhaps he believes only a remnant out of Israel will be saved? Not so. God chose the whole nation for salvation. He chose not some but the whole nation - the children of Jacob. And those whom he chose he is able to preserve and save to the UTTERMOST. In this light Christ forgave even those who directly conspired to crucify him. Granted OSAS is only true for those born again, and not for everyone who simply confess Christ. Words can be cheap. While it can be challenging to verify who is and who is NOT born again, OSAS is nonetheless true doctrine, i.e., Once one is born again, CANNOT be lost. For that which is born of God will OVERCOME. And Christ is the Good Shepherd who knows how to keep his flock safe. If need be, he will even leave the 99 to go find the one stray sheep. ALL that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in NO wise cast out. -John 6:37 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of ALL which HE hath given me I should lose NOTHING, but should raise it up again at the last day. -John 6:39

Not so! OSAS is error. Hebrews 10:26,27; Hebrews 6:4-6; IIPeter 2:20-22; Romans 11:17-22; Revelation 3:1-5; Matt. 24:13; I Corinthians 9:27; Philippians 3:11-14 etc.

yordart, I was waiting for someone/anyone to be paying attention and rebut me. Thank for the scripture references. Does all this mean that the parable of the Good Shepherd is a lie? Can the devil pluck some that belong to Christ from his hands? Did Christ make a false promise to God, that will not lose by any means, those given him by the Father? Hmmm.... Did you first believe in Christ by grace or by your own goodness? If you were first saved by grace, are you then preserved by your own strength? Heb 10:26, speaks of sinning willfully. Why would anyone born of God, being free from the power sin do this? With the exception of 'little children" who sin by reason of carelessness, "young men and fathers in Christ" are know but their ability to overcome. Those who do otherwise, prove by their action that they are antichrists in the congregation. They are Justified but NEVER regenerated. Like Judas having tasted the forgiveness yet NEVER born again. It was inevitable they fall away, like those antichrists in 1 Jn 2:19. To begin with, they never belonged to Christ - They went out from us, but they were not of us; .... -1 John 2:19 Rom 11:17-22 argues for eternal security - ELECTION - of the Jews. God chose them, and by no means he will discard them. They were broken off because they rejected Christ, but it is NOT the end for them. God it able to graft them back in, which he will do when the full number of gentiles are come into the kingdom of God. Rev 3:1-5 captures the picture of the current state of the church. It looks like it is ready to die, but Tribulation will refine and make them WHITE. Mt 24:13 simply states the requirement to endure to the end. This will not be possible except by the grace of God. See how Stephen was strong full of the Spirit in the face of death? 1 Cor 9:27 Paul says he conditions his body for the work of Christ, but did he do this by his own strength? Or by the grace of God? I am who I am by the grace of God, he has confessed, also, when I am weak then I am strong? Who made the good earth GOOD and fruitful? The earth the farmer who tilled it or GOD who made it? Phil 3:11 - is Paul really saying that he himself by his own strength will my some means attain to the resurrection of the dead. Is he NOT the workmanship of Christ? Etc, etc, etc ...

Rev 3:5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. If we can never lose our salvation then why would Jesus blot our name out of the Lambs book of life?

Rodney Hall, Funny how you boast in your insecurity in Christ. I'd rather boast of My Good Shepherd's faithfulness and power to keep me safe. If we are reconciled to God by the death of his Son, we shall be SAVED to the uttermost by HIS Life in us. The overcoming life of a born again believer is not his own, but the Life of the Indwelling Christ who lives through him. If you were justified by faith, which is by grace, are you now overcoming by your own power and glory? Was Paul lying when he said, "I am who I am by the grace of God?" BTW! Are you the sheep of Christ? Then listen to what he says about you ... 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall NEVER perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30 I and my Father are one. As for those who fail to overcome, apostle John came to know, AFTER THE FACT, that they were antichrists. They must have confessed Christ but evidently were never regenerated, i.e., never born again, never meant to be saved. Regeneration is neither progressive nor an auto-outcome of confession, it is the sovereign act of God. He will show MERCY to whom HE will show mercy, unless you now insist that you were saved by MERIT? GOD FORBID!
