I remember being a teenager running the streets with a violent gang. I was helping to destroy my people and my neighborhood. A brother was on the corner downtown selling videos of this man’s lectures. I bought one and watched it. I started learning who I was and what was my purpose. This was my first time understanding knowledge of self. It’s a good thing because I was about to become a father. Soon after that I moved away and severed my ties with the streets for good. I have been a hard working father ever since. My son is grown now and he has began his teaching career. My parents were more upset with me listening to this great man than they were upset about me running the streets with guns and drugs. Well, all that negativity is behind me now and I forever owe thanks to this man’s words. I am so grateful for him. It is possible to change for the better.

I grew up Christian Baptist all of my life but always knew the truth of Allah through the NOI but was afraid to accept the truth because of lies told to me through pastors and preacher's. At 43 years of age I can no longer accept those lies and accept the Christian religion because everything that this Great man of God makes sense. I am on a path now of knowledge of self and total submission to the will of Allah. All praises due to Allah for opening my eyes.
