As to the reveal in the Digimon Tri series, it kinda surprised me. The funny thing was it wasn't too far off from what I had planned in Digimon Protectors. However, I think I was still right when I mentioned they didn't exactly win, they were kinda messed up after it and there are three kids who aren't around or mentioned at all. The episode is called Loss after all. And it still doesn't add up a lot of the HUGE plot holes of their age because they would had to have been way older than the Destined in order for this to make sense. Still, I'm doing my version damn it!

Well I mean, every one of them lost their partner in some way or another. Four of them had lost their partners who eventually became the Four Sovereigns. The fifth child, Maki, lost her partner permanently when Megadramon became the catalyst to seal away the Dark Masters, which was a failure because we all know that Adventure occurred and indeed had the Dark Masters. For all we know those other three kids who lost their partners, after coming to the realization they could never be with said partners could want nothing to do with the Digital World that had placed such a burden on their shoulders and the shoulders of their partner digimon. bitterness would lead to resentment and resentment would lead to completely growing distant from anything involving Digimon. Of all of them the one with the most motive was indeed Maki, because the other three (Plus Daigo) atleast were pretty sure their partners were ALIVE and still around and running the system, but Maki completely lost her partner Tapirmon/Megadramon and so her motivations for the Reboot would be to reunite with her partner who wasn't chosen.

Digimon Protectors you have to remember time was warped until the end of Digimon adventure, so gennai speaks of the original digidestined as having been there centuries ago but in earth years it could very well be like ten or fifteen years

Digimon Protectors can you do an explanation on how the ending of Digimon 02 connects to Digimon Tri? Because I have wondered how the Digidestined and their sister are all still alive if they died or got defeated in Tri. I don’t get it.

So after watching Digimon tri, the original digidestined was never really shown as much as we want to believe it was whoever. if you watched the series originally the show acted like Cody's father and Matt's father knew what the Digimon were but it's only because they were supposed to be the humans that help to create the digital world, in Digimon tri we are only shown two children that were chosen but they failed to defeat the Dark Masters, and then the first episode of Digimon tri they actively and blatantly state that the digital world is very old and has just been in existence and wasn't created by humans. And they never intended on making it seem like certain characters knew about Digimon in season one or two

I have a theory, I think some of the parents of the digidestined. are the original digidestined, for example, Matt's dad knows who gabumon is, Cody's dad and Mr. owikawa knew about Digimon as kids and on top of that, Mr. owikawa had a Digimon at one point and was reunited with it at the end of season 2, so he had to be a digidestined at 1 point, soras mom asked familiar with biyomon, as seen in a couple episodes, I've even wrote some Digimon fan fiction about this,

She was scared to hell of Biyomon, but Matt's dad was an interesting touch. However this doesn't mean they were digidestined, but instead merely aware. An awful lot of people became aware after the events in 99, something similar might have occurred. Maybe attracted the original 5 to the digiworld

the original Digi Destined were those in Digimon Frontiers, although they were from a time on Earth that was far into the future of the season 1 characters, they were brought to the digital world in the distant past as far as the season 1 digimon were concerned, remember that time in the digital world is different then time on Earth so it's possible that the Frontier characters were the originals

Interesting theory, it even has me thinking about it too. Although the 4th part of the Tri series may give a bit of info on who the original digi destin are. Who knows, we'll just have to wait and see.

Season 1 has some good lore. In addition to the legend of the original digidestined at the end, there's also the temple housing the lore of the digivice. There's most likely information on the previous digidestined scattered all throughout the digital world.

The D-3 stood for: Digimon, Detect, Discover. It had nothing to do with a 3rd version of digivice. Loved the theory though.

i believe that the original digidestined had very primitive digivices as he said in the video causing them to be very limited in function, their digimon could only reach ultimate level at best so when fighting the dark masters one of the digimon let the others take all his power which destroyed him to such a degree that he didn't return to the village of beginning, his sacrifice allowed the other 4 to become the sovereign digimon, but the trauma of the loss cause the children to forget what happened as a defence mechanism, if they were very young they wouldn't have the emotional maturity to handle the loss any other way, it's also why they couldn't reach mega, they were too young, for example even though agumon and gabumon don't remember their partners matt and Tai's emotional maturity allowed them to warp straight to mega

There was a digidestined group before Tei, Matt, TK, Sora, Mimi, Joe, Izzy, and Kari. It's casually mentioned in Adventure and expanded upon in Tri but for some reason they didn't fight against Apoclymon in Tri. On that note it does appear that only 1 of them loses in the fight against the dark masters.

In adventures 2, it is a plot point that they had been planted with a dark seed before the events on adventures 1. So yes they did see neo myotismon , but by that point in time they are either cowering in fear or are being evil. Like Ken

I do agree that they probably armor digivolved as it was said to be a ancient form of digivolving however, only certain Digimon can do that. So... That limits the Digimon extremely.

Yeah I agree with everyone else I think the original Digidestined were their parents and they recognize the Digimon partners but the Digimon don't remember them probably due to Jedi wiping the Digimon memories so they can be used to make new ones with new partners. But we're told to the original Digidestined to keep all this hush hush.

well now there the 2020 version so maybe they got reincarnated in another timeline but only the real world because in the 2020 version we a see a flashback of the war between darkness and light and we can see a very obvious shadow of wargreymon metal garuramon and the other kids mega level digimon but in the original only tai and matt have mega level digimon but then theres adventure tri where all of them had their mega level digimon then theres the end of digimon 02 part where digimon and humans coexist so i think theres the first digimon series then the 02 series then the tri series then the end of 02 series where its shown that humans and digimon coexist then somehow a new evil perhaps millenuimon and the war between darkness and light which the humans are involved because digimon and and humans coexist then because the darkness is defeated but the at the cost of light then the real world is rebooted then we get digimon adventure 2020 and ryo can also fit in since milleniumon is involved
