I doubt that would ever happen, depending on how early or late the old model was scrapped, most of the animations would need to be recreated for the old model because of how drastically different the rig and proportions are (if the model was scrapped by chapter 3s development then they would need to finish every subsequent scene with the old model, possibly needing to do the same to the previous chapters if any other animation was changed even slightly) you can't just slap the old model onto the current models animations, next to nothing lines up except maybe the spine. At best we could get an archive chapter like batim. Sorry for the long rant, animation nerd.

I do prefer the new design. After all, the old ink demon was a "cartoonish facade" so it makes sence that all the cartoony aspects of him got sent over to his weaker state as small bendy and all the demonic aspects got left in his regular form. Also could be because of the cycle wearing down and not restarting.

Honestly glad that they changed the design, I love the old one but at the end of the day it's just a better version we had in ink machine (after chapter 4 at least), the new design is completely new from what came before. I think could still have been used, possibly a flash back to bendys first exposure to the towers, the old design being what he looked like when the two forms coexisted, the current model being an complete demon not held down by his cartoon half. It also just fits better with the voice, when the reveal for batdr came out we heard Wilsons voice and everyone thought it was bendy, that voice definitely would have worked on that design but not the voice we now know he has. Always thought that splatter after the chase was a bit big for the spindly hand it came from

It's so interesting seeing what could have happened, I love both designs honestly, they both have a special place in my heart. The old one is what scared us in the first game, hiding the moment the Ink Demon showed up and the scene when he attacked the projectionist will always replay in my brain. The second is more terrifying, a step into a new direction for different gameplay and not to mention, there's a hint of a sequel.

In my opinion, I prefer that they released the game entirely. Having a chapter by chapter release made me forget what happened in the previous chapter as I just stopped paying attention. The only outlier was chapter 2 since it released 2 months after chapter 1, but that's it. And playing the whole game doesn't make me think they're all connected, it makes me think they're all just different games. Also also, Ink Machine felt like a mess, sort of a test world instead of an actual game. Barely any mechanics stayed in multiple chapters, which is why I think this. But Dark Revival releasing entirely? I can look at every chapter and say to myself "Oh look, it's a part of Bendy and the Dark Revival," not just "Oh, it's chapter 3 of Bendy and the Dark Revival. It doesn't even feel connected to chapter 2 at all."

Gonna be honest, I actually kinda prefer the warning sign. In the old game, it is PAINFULLY EASY to avoid the Ink Demon because the ink aura he puts off tells you, "hey, he's coming." It's much more, I dunno, obvious I guess is the right word? Like if I see the aura, I just tell myself, "Well, guess I'm not going down that way" and I head down a different path. With the warning sign, it gives you only 5 seconds to hide before you get got. And if you don't hide, that's that, you're done for.

Imagine they had a “Nostalgia Mode” that could be turned on in options and it would make it so the ink demon has his OG BATDR look and instead of the warning thing for whenever he comes to attack, the weird ink aura appears and you have to hide. And then you can him walking slowly and menacingly.

And one more thing, that lives in my mind: Ink Bendy was never a resl demon. He is failed try to create Bendy with the Ink Machine, and he is a "failure" for not having soul. So, redesigning him is about hype , I think. And more theory in my head: in BatDR Ink demon is the only person, who doesn't lie to Audrey. Taking for base the official book (Dreams come to life) : to create something with Ink Machine we need someone real. Allison Angel is Allison Pendle. Her wolf Tom - Thomas Connor. Boris (Henry's friend) - Buddy. And Henry also wasn't just painted. So memory of mr Drew lied. Willson lies. And Ink Demon and Willson are the only ones who does "game over". There is no mechanical death in game. So Ink Demon never hurts Audrey, just prevents her from fallawing Willsons plan. So he is not some ephemeral monster (He also never killed Henry also). And thats why redesign doesn't work for me . I dont see the beast, they try to shaw me.

And... that's absolutely wrong. Trying to analyze all we know: - When Buddy accidentally releases Ink Demon - Ink Demon does not hurts him (and he could I think) - When Henry is under attack by The Projectionist Ink Demon saves him. Could he just brake the wooden door and get Henry as well (he knew Henry was there)? Easily! But he goes away! - The same he does during Henry's journey through ventilation. I don't believe Ink Demon couldn't get Henry. - The same with Audrey - he reacts her activity, but without harming her. He "devours" her only when she irreversibly damaged and even then he waits HER decision. - He also helps her as little Bendy. Thinking why he attacks her in front of GENT lab - that is his way to prevent and protect. Remember what we find in GENT lab. Keepers captured Ink Demon and tortured him to kill. When killing is impossible they prison him in little Bendy form and torture again for their own _pleasure_. That's all written in audio logs we find in GENT lab. Actually - how Audrey reacts? They did it? OK! Lets help Willson, he's not bad at all! He's creatures torture someone helpless for fun, he kills Audrey to capture her in the Cycle. He's not bad. At all! Let's go and help him. And when he open his real plans: You lied! (Oh, how could he?) Really, Audrey? No one (Ink Demon maybe?) told you about Willson's lies! So... I even think that Ink Demon fool of emotions, but the only emotions he knows are negative. He was alone. then he was called scary, still alone, then - a lot of pain in GENT lab. No one shows him good feelings. Audrey shows only for little Bendy, but she still wants to kill him for being... himself? Disgusting for me. Even after he saves her (He could attack monster Willson later, when monster killed her, why not?) And the worst for me: Audrey accepts him only as little Bendy. But thats not him, I dont believe in happy ending. That's kind of abuse. Ink Demon was a failure, yes, but he lives to long as Ink Demon, he forms his own personality, he gains his own experience for long time. He just cant be that little Bendy from cartoons. I cant imagine how it will work (not working for me at all) Sad. Very sad. So I just cant see him as evil and sadistic creature as all my friends and a lot of fans see.

Don't get me wrong I love the new game it's pretty fun and I like some of the new characters, the graphics looked really nice but it was almost too much for me and I kinda preferred the graphics from the old game cause the old game actually looked more cartoonish and like you weren't in the real world anymore but the new game it looks like that part of the studio was the real life so it just made me miss the more cartoony look on the game. Otherwise I like the second game a lot.

Mind you we had been waiting on this game for 3 - 4 years, and after all the drama that surrounded the devs, everyone thought the game was dead in the water. But then when they tell us, hey, it's actually still alive, they release it 10 days after the trailer drops, which gives almost no time at all for there to be hype for the game. Besides, a real quality game wouldn't have to rely on chapter by chapter releases. I mean, look at Alien Isolation. It's a great game, and I can sure tell you it didn't release in chapters. Now, I'm not saying BATDR isn't a quality game, but I'm just saying that if they want to make the game live longer, they not only gotta advertise it right, and also add some good replayability.

The first game was Little bit inspired by it. Specially BATIM chapter 4. Just being inspired isn’t a bad thing, most games in general are inspired by other games. Personally would love BATDR to be more like Bioshock, but BATDR is still a really good game. It’s specialty better then BATIM in general. Only thing about the game, it still has problems. Such as combat, only being slightly better than the first game, The Meatly even said before the game came out. That the combat is way better. Yes, by a small inch better then the first game. That’s still not really an improvement to me. Let’s just hope the next game is (Bendy The Cage)

The design from batim is "failed experiment": a skinny creature with bendy's head and glove. One hand is corrupted, it is shorter and has five fingers without glove. One leg is melted. Demon looks sickly, but dangerous

To be honest I actually like the old ink demon more because he is original and I thing he deserved to in the new game and I like that creepy smile he makes but the new one I thing they get too far and they didn´t had to change him on that way I mean its too much and his cool creepy smile is gone and I don t like it

tbh I love the new ink demon design, bendy got one hell of a glow up. and it's way more fun to draw than the original ink demon design in my opinion. also it looks more like an actual threat too. I still love the original though but I feel like it should stay in the original games, also there's no way in hell the ink demon's voice would fit the old model.
