Throwbots/Slizers had collectible discs IIRC, which would be the first set of collectibles (off the top of my head) as throwbots was 1999, and the chrome armor was 2000. but yeah system fans dont dismiss bionicle and constraction off hand challenge (impossible) (Failed Instantly)

Eh I think the golden weapons are really cool because they're part of the lore and story of Ninjago which kind of just adds a little bit more to them but the Chrome Knight armor is pretty cool too I love the classic Medieval theme for Lego it's very simple but nice

I had the sword and the helmet, though the sword got played with so heavily that it is pretty much busted by now. The chrome colour is almost entirely chipped off. I think that chipping is probably why they retired the chrome.

It came out couple of years later. The sword first came out in 1995 with the royal knights, the chest plate came in 1996 in armada flagship. Those 2 parts were reused in 2000 in the knight kingdom along with 2 new chrome piece. An helmet and a shield with the bull print on it. One piece will come in each individual set.
