Black Chicago was populated by black people from the south who had the type of temperament that wouldn’t submit to the outlandish oppression that existed in the south at that time. I believe that story of daddy or granddaddy doin somethin to some white man and having to leave the south is common among us.

My uncle Arthur Lee Binns was there with all those pioneers. He ran the Eastside Disciples in Woodlawn back in late 1960's and was in Statesville at the time they formed BGDN as OG Killa Red was talking back in the middle of the 1970's. He'll be a good interview as well and is currently living in San Bernardino Ca.

With all due respect and love for all, would like to say that I edited my comment so that there will be no confusion about the years of the first turmoil within BGDN. The first time I heard about the first splinter was from a older cousin of mine whose from Chicago West side, who was first a G Nation then became BGDN. I was a High Supreme Gangster , and cliff is a good friend of mine and I will speak to him about doing one on King Shorty Freeman and how he became King of the BDN , but understand that Shorty was not a King when David was alive nor was he ever crowned a King by King David. We had two kings, king David and King Hoover, and two prince, prince Old timer from the Black Disciples sibe and Prince Tennessee from the Supreme Gangsters side. Before the merger in 1969 there were many branches inside the Black Disciples, Boss pimp Disciples , Maniac Disciples, Eastside Disciples, Motown Disciples, Falcon Disciples, Sercon Disciples, Speed Kings, Gonzotos, Outlaw Disciples, shorty Freeman was the chief of the Renegade Disciples. When David died, September 2 1974 and Larry was in prison in 73, there was a lot of turmoil talking place in the Disciples Nation. The guys from the the Black Disciples sibe were looking to place someone from the BDN to sit on the throne with Larry Hoover, which should have been prince Old timer but he was rejected, and so was Shorty Freeman and a few others. In 1978 Shorty Freeman and Don Dirky resurrected the Black Disciples Nation with Shorty Freeman as the King. The majority of the original Black Disciples suck as Greg crusher Knox and many others went with Larry Hoover because BGDN is the legacy of King David and King Hoover. We only had two kings. Shorty was never appointed by David.

@@carltonchatman2632 to keep it plain and simple ( no disrespect when I say that ) there where 2 Kings and 2 princes .
