As most of you are aware, I reported a while back on what the plans were for MTV's Scream Season Three. With more details now being released, we have some information about the fourth Season they were planning. In today's video, I take a closer look and reveal what was in store for MTV's Scream following Seasons 1-3.

Yes I agree on being mad bout canceling the show but you know I would probably be fine by now but no every time I rewatch it there is the stupid cliff hanger at the end that they did not finish and that’s what pissed me off

What I love about MTV’s: Scream was the originality. And just the new characters that we never seen before. And the storytelling was good too. I think that’s what Scream 2022 should’ve been like. I know most people don’t like Brandon James, but I love the character so much. The show was fresh and original.

yes I agree but this would have been pretty dope idea as well have the tv series characters finding the legacy characters from the movies that really sounded like a good idea to me like they did it with chucky tv series now i'm really furious some of you who didn't like it no matter what you thought of it you guys should've have appreciated this more because to me it sounded like a pretty good idea

i’m not a fan of the season 4 idea (being the actors play themselves and hunted down by a crazy fan), but i wouldn’t be totally upset if we got that being we’d hopefully see neve and willa in the same screen!! it’d be kinda dope if drew barrymore was the killer, jealous of the spotlight neve got and how she was supposed to be sidney (but couldn’t due to scheudling) my only question is the idea that sidney exists in the same universe as willa, or would it be neve playing herself, and not playing sidney?

I think making the last season into a show turned to reality, is to finally make it connected to the Scream universe. It's called scream but it's not really related. So this alternative can connect the series to the franchise without much though. not really the best method but a method not the less

These actors should be in the new films going forward with the Scream film franchise. Not the characters they portray but the actors portraying characters who were similar to what they portrayed in the series.

before watching scream seasons 1-2, i actually did not care for the mask they used in this storyline. Obviously they couldn't use the ghostface mask due to copyright reasons, but the new mask actually grew on me. I started to really like it and I will definitely miss it. It is new and refreshing.

This series had such a great and rememberable case and the emotions beats and parts to it were my favorite along wit the kills left a lasting impression on me I really wish they didn’t reboot it cuz I really need that closure

I think only biased people that say the movies are better than the TV series. Without the mask or The voice I think they did a better job overall of building the characters and actually making sense of the killings.

Why didn't you discuss the original plans for Season 3? Honestly, Season 4 would of been HORRIBLE. I hate when horror goes that New Nightmare route. Makes all of these characters built up for the course of 3 seasons made fiction and tell the fans that those stories aren't real and never happened. Actually glad they got cancelled the way they did, makes me think. THAT would of disappointed me so much. Knowing that the Brandon James story was all fake kills the realism of the MTV Series and these characters we thought we felt for. DUDE you should discuss what Season 3 was going to be about. I DUG THE FUCK OUT OF THAT. Kieran being kept alive and the Killer that called him at the end of Season 2 does the killings for him. Kieran and Emma were suppose to have this Silence of the Lamb moment.

I saw a post about all this but it was very obvious this idea was written before the Halloween Special (Kieran was meant to stay alive after two before the reveal he and the rest were all playing themselves and then someone in the real ghostface mask would kill him being the first victim)…. I want to know what was their idea after the Halloween special aired. If done right the whole actors playing themselves could have worked like New Nightmare. This still would have been better than the actual rebooted season 3.

Maybe it’s possible for this reboot they’re doing now to tie into the movies to tie back to this by having it exist in the same universe and bring the actors back to be shown as actors from this show that exists in the universe and is loosely based off of the woodsboro murders. Idk just an idea maybe, I think if they did it right it could be really good

Same here. In a way glad it got cancelled when it did. Though I LOVED the Season 3 idea, not sure why Beyond the Mask didn't discuss that. I read it and it was AMAZING. Kieran being kept alive, the killer that called him would of been doing the killings for him. Kieran and Emma having this Silence of the Lambs moment, face to face. Amadeus would of KILLED It in that role for Season 3. While the stakes raise.

Okay so I'm at 2:40 and I know this isn't the point of the video but I always see people saying it's a different timeline, but I've never seen anyone post anything confirming that and the TV series does nothing to really contradict the movies. I always just thought of it as a standalone sequel and haven't seen any reasons they would be separated (other than people personal dislike of the TV series)
