Yep. Not only was the food quality better back then (no GMO’s, less toxic ingredients) but there were so many good spots to choose from that offered good quality at a fairly valued price. I eat at home now. Chain restaurants today are disgusting, and the good independent ones are too pricey.

I miss the old home cooking and greasy spoon type places of the past. The Silver diners with the tiny juke boxes on the tables that had the best big ol burgers served on thick bread or their own special bun. Heck, Even K mart was know to serve a nice thick ham and cheese and they had real mashed potatos and meatloaf with brown gravy we use to watch them make. A few good places to eat would provide jobs and stimulate the economy but it's all name recognition and being seen at the "right places" now even if the food is full on crap.

@@mcchilde2903 this is a very popular turkish street food whether you like it or not you can search it everywhere. Kumpir are Turkish style baked potatoes - once they come out of the oven they are cut open and the soft potato inside is mixed together with butter and cheese until it's smooth and creamy just like in the video. Then add your favourite toppings and this is why it is turkish. Or otherwise people also would just say pizza is not italian its just a dough with toppings.

My mom used to make stuffed potatoes very similar to this. TBH I really enjoyed the crispy, crunchy skin the best. Damn, Its 11:30 PM and I hear a spud calling me...

It’s basically a twice baked potato because he mashed the insides. Loaded potato is just a baked potato cut open and topped. Two different items. I’ve never seen twice baked potatoes to order like this though. Pretty cool. Usually they’re made in advance and heated to order. I like this to order method better.

I love the simplicity in the menu yet complexity in variation. Given that it takes up so little space to open one up. These should be everywhere. I could see it being big at college campuses after a night out or during a night out. 👍
