This can be done with almost any light source, but it will really BLOW YOUR MIND at a slit-lamp.
STEP #1 make the room pitch black
STEP #2 close the other eye!!!
STEP #3 keep the light source shining through the pupil as you sweep back and forth with the light source.

I happens to me with every heart pulse, several times a day, specially when being standing up and during training. It begun after 3-4 weeks of stye treatment with dexamytrex drops and ointment (still working with that).

Yeah, i also see retina vessels with every bump of the heart when looking on bright solid surfaces.. these are pulsations to the heart beat, kind of black spots that have some imprint of retina vessels. Most noticeable when heart is racing. I been to like dozen of optometrist, all said that eyes are 100% healthy, did MRI and brain vessels scans.. all clear. I wonder if this is some sort of usual healthy phenomenon that everyone sees and eventually filters in the brain or this is smth to worry about? I am paying so much attention to those puslations, maybe this is something my brains just doesn’t not filter anymore due to attention i am paying.

Great information, thank you!! I had a few retinal tears in my left eye with a bleed, also had the laser treatment to seal the tears. After the laser treatment and still continuing 4 weeks later, I see these veins every time I open my eye after blinking for a brief split second, not so much in a dark room. It happens at every blink in my eye that had the treatment. Could this be considered normal? Or a possible side effect of the laser treatment?

Why can I see this when a bright light was shining on top of me and the rest was dark, I got so scared.

I woke up this morning and very briefly I could see the veins when I blinked a few times. No issues other than that. Is this normal?

I bet you were actually seeing an “after image” from a bright light in ur room upon awakening…but there’s no way for me to know for sure of course… But retrace ur steps and see if there’s any light source (lamp, ceiling light, alarm clock, sun rise, etc) that may have streaked across ur vision giving you an after image. That’s my 2 cents ✌️
