@@ardysontan3119 Well unless you're medically toned deaf which only occurs to 4% of the population or have some sort of vocal injury, singing is a skill that any person can develop. I should know, I couldn't hold tune match a note or even hold my breath long enough to perform well. Now I can do all that and be able to sing in a choir even done a few solos as well as a whole lot more. Singing is composed of a set of skills, if you don't believe me you should take a look at this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4W7an-uj56Mi7M . First and foremost breath control or breath support, is the most important skill. you basically need to retrain how you breathe, normally your chest would rise and fall periodically but you should be breathing from the diaphragm. Also then you need to learn to strengthen your chest voice and learn to distinguish and produce sounds in your different registers reliably as well as how to transition through your passaggio and you also learn about the different vowels and how they affect your voice. You will also be taught music theory how to read dynamics and different elements of music on note sheets and train constantly to different warm exercises using note sheets to guide you. One thing though, and this is important if you want to learn you should really find a professional singing teacher to prevent you from accidentally damaging your voice since if you have any tension at all it can cause strain on your voice and damage your vocal cords.

I feel like Loren took Cheryl’s critics to heart and used her head voice in places where she belted before. In this case, it made for a more heartfelt performance.

I feel like what I heard was that she was eeeever so slightly under the high notes leading up to that softer part you're talking about (I mean, she's singing like THAT sat in a car!), she recognised she was pushing a bit too hard for them so dialled it back a little to give her enough in the tank for the ending. Mark of a true professional!

NO one can sing a song quite like the original singer - Loren Allred is a legend!

Loren makes all of those lyrics feel so rich and powerful and universal. They should have had her doing the acting in the movie too.

@@athan5648 that's very subjective, Morissette has an incredibly powerful voice but the emotion that Lauren brings to the words is very hard to match

She got me in the end. I've heard this soundtrack like a million times and I was constantly missing the jump to the headvoice in the second part of "enough", like she did originally, that almost breaks and really got to me, I really felt the vulnerability. But in the end she got the "I am the queen" vibe even better than she did originally. Loved it. Loved the variations and all.
