And in the end of the last 4 episodes or so of the 1st season of The Originals. Even they were affected by it too because it was happening everywhere including New Orleans. Genevieve the red headed witch said so herself to Klaus and Elijah when they were having dreams of Mikael when it wasn't dream. The Other Side was going away for them, considering Klaus killed Mikael in The Vampire Diaries, and since ghosts go wherever if they choose to do so. I too, wish they had that episode where Damon, Caroline, Tyler, would have been affected by the breaking of the sire line too. Not to toot my own horn, this episode of The Originals Davina broke the sire link, OK. Now Caroline gave birth the twins Josie and Lizzy in Season 7 Episode 10.....not that I'm reaching, but wouldn't the twins, (hypothetically) be affected by it too, Considering Caroline is part of Klaus's sire link, and they came from her, yet they were born naturally as witches without magic, and also wouldn't they be something equal to Hope...she is a different story. Even the twins are witch siphons naturally as humans...wouldn't breaking his sire link affect their witch ability of sort...yes I know they are babies. But everyone has to remember that when season 5 of the vampire diaries started, so too did the first season of the originals, what happens with tvd is also up to date with that first season.....any who, if you follow my logic where I'm going with this. ill let you be the judge.

For everyone arguing in the comment section. I will set it straight for you. Klaus sired Mary who sired Rose who sired Katherine who sired Stefan and Damon who sired Caroline and Elena. At this point in the timeline Mary, Rose and Katherine were already dead and Elena has or is about to take the cure and go into her coma. If Klaus died before the bond was broken it would’ve killed Marcel, Josh, Damon, Stefan, and Caroline. Possible Elena if she hasn’t taken the cure yet.

By the time that Klaus died, Elena, Damon and Stefan were all cured. Remember, Klaus sent Caroline that money for the school in TVD series finale. And you're right about the rest: Klaus sired Mary Porter who was "an Original groupie" and scary who Sired Rose-Marie. Rose unwittingly Sired Katherine Pierce who was responsible for the Siring of the rest. Kol later staked Scary Mary in order to keep them from finding out exactly who had Sired her.

She also proved to them that she was brave, unstoppable, powerful, and strong woman by getting over her fears and facing everyone that tried to stop her from becoming the powerful witch that she was and the way that I see it she was fearless since the very beginning she just didn't know it yet. I hope that she is brought back to life in Season 4 of The Originals and that Freya Mikaelson is killed no offense to any Freya Mikaelson fans, but I just hate her for what she did to Davina at the end of Season 3 of The Originals.

Why would Kol be loyal to them when he was kept out of ”Always and Forever” with Finn. They never had loyalty to him or their brother. Every chance they got, the daggered him, Rebekah is 1913 betrayed him and got him daggered; was he trying to hurt Klaus, yes, but he deserved it! Davina has loyalty to Josh and Marcel; she started to stray from Marcel because he always chose the Mikaelsons over her until Freya, who promised to help them, betrayed them and broke the circle. Marcel used that girl for his gain and pretended to care for her, and she was probably thankful because she didn't get her throat slit. Why would she stay around? The only person that stuck up for her and loved her, besides Josh--who gave her permission to leave--she married. She wanted to live her life; she always wanted a normal life. She took that chance and ran when she could.

What I've never understood is, Davina had just broken one of Esther's most powerful spells and in doing so indirectly invited countless enemies of Klaus's to flock New Orleans and annihilate him. Yet when she did it, they left her alive? Didn't even attempt to harm her for what she did? And even then, her being provoked or Klaus angering her really means nothing to Klaus, he's killed enemies who hold ten times the strength she possess, my point is, the writers left her untouched when the antithesis of that should have happened. When the link was broken, the first thing Elijah did was get out of the water and massacre the Strix's witches, yet Davina was left alive. It's just stupid how protected she is and how weak they make the Originals seem at times.
