It's the choreographers who gave John Travolta (for example) those moves, not John Travolta himself. Those choreographers were inspired by previous dancers who go back in generations. Dance movement evolves. Michael is so beautifully gifted to combine various dance movements (with the help of dancers who guided him) and truly make the Dance his own.
