Small aside I forgot to mention in the video, there's one extant script derived from Proto-Sinaitic but NOT Phoenicians, the Ge'ez script, used in Ethiopia and Eritrea! This script evolved from the Southern Arabian Script, a cousin of Phoenician which was common in the Arabian Peninsula prior to the spread of Phoenician-derived scripts such as Nabatean and later Arabic!

I would like further research information. The Ge'ez system is a sacred alphabet system.

@@dietrichdietrich7763 I'm afraid I've only read a little bit about Ge'ez, so I can't recommend any good sources on that specific subject to you. Your best bet would be to check the Wikipedia page and see if there are publicly available sources in the citations list.

@@dietrichdietrich7763 Ge'ez is a script just as Latin is a script. Both are still used in church but both have daughter languages which use their parent scripts.

Musnad older.
@SomasAcademy Жыл бұрын
Musnad is a descendant of the Proto-Sinaitic script that I talk about in the video, making it a cousin to the Phoenician script.
