I don't comment a lot, but I just want to say how cool it is to see you covering Star Wars! It was my first passion (even before Tolkien), and your NOTR channel being easily the best Tolkien KZbin channel is really cool. Bringing your level of passion and integrity to this universe is very much welcome.

So excited to have you covering Star Wars! This has been one of my oldest passions. I find it interesting that we have never seen any member of Yoda's species that are NOT force sensitive. (Some sort of cloning at work perhaps?)

Or maybe his species have a strong connection to the Force for some reason… maybe they could be the Whills?

In TCW series professor Huyang from the gathering arc hinted that Yoda went on quiet an adventure to gather his Cyber Crystal. I would love to learn more about that.

When talking about Yoda's life, I think it is important to point out that he was the head of the Jedi Council when the Sith infiltrated the Republic, destroyed the Jedi order, and established the Empire. Far from perfect, he was.
@zacharycollins9485 Жыл бұрын
True, Yoda was head of the Jedi Order when it fell. But, to be fair, Palpatine was using his Sith powers to cloud the minds of the Jedi so they wouldn't suspect that he was the Sith Lord, Darth Sidious. The destruction of the Jedi Order wasn't solely Yoda's fault because the minds of all the Jedi were being clouded and confused by Palpatine. In my humble opinion, Yoda's failure lies in the fact that he taught Anakin to let go of everything he was afraid to lose, when Anakin really needed to process his grief and probably needed therapy. Lol. Because Anakin was so old when he entered into the Jedi Order and had missed all the training about controlling one's emotions and finding inner peace with the Force, he had a lot of unprocessed grief and anger and not very much self-control. Therefore, Yoda's blind insensitivity and strict dogma concerning Anakin's training was ultimately what led him to pursue power in the Dark side and become Darth Vader. But I still love Yoda. Lol. What do you think about that?
@istari0 Жыл бұрын
@@zacharycollins9485 I don't really disagree with any of it. I agree that Yoda is not solely responsible for the fall of the Jedi but he deserves a substantial share of the blame because he was head of the order. The same dogmatic and rigid rule-following that helped bring about Anakin's fall also helped Palpatine mislead the Jedi. I don't dislike Yoda but there's plenty of Star Wars characters I like better than him.

Interesting timing with the Yoda video, as I'm currently re-watching The Mandalorian seasons. I think alot of his back story should remain a mystery, as that's always been a big part of his popularity. Who IS this little green B,A, dude? Great job on both channels, I always eagerly await with the bell icon rung! May the force be with you! 🖖😁🤘🇨🇦

Not exactly a Yoda story, but I'd love to see you go over Kanan Jarus from Rebels. His story is complete enough to warrent a video I'd say. Could even go over the inconsistancy between the comics and the Bad Batch appearences.

Tbh, I think Kanan is pretty boring as a character during the entirety of Rebels.

I think Lucas said in an interview that he deliberately wanted Yoda's origin to remain a mystery...they kind of ruined it by giving him one....

Yoda is my favorite Star Wars character. It's kind of frustrating that we know so little about him but it does add an air of mystery. I really disliked that Yaddle spoke normally in Tales of the Jedi. It makes Yoda seem stubborn for not learning to speak Basic without the backwards speech pattern. But maybe he's of an earlier generation than Yaddle and this dialect just feels more natural to him as it's what he grew up with.

much like a child actor who got famous as a 5yr old, at some point Grogu is going to transition into an adult. it will be interesting to see how it works out with going from a physical/mechanical Grogu to a full CGI or costumed version. they can get away with a stiff doll that barely walks and cant bend his arms now, but an adolescent wielding a light saber in beskar armor will need to go to a new level.
