This sounds so much like a great gospel song and the best singers of those kinds of songs are Black R&B Soul singers

I wish we could see videos of them back when they were young in the day singing these songs

Diz Russell has been an Oriole on and off since 1954 and holds the trademark to the name and keeps the sound of the Orioles alive. So this is not phony a group of imposters and yes he and his wife Millie are 2 of the nicest people anyone could ever meet. Im very good friends with them and have stayed over their house in Maryland many times.

Early Country & Western favorite, Darrell Glenn, first recorded this classic, which was written by Artie Glenn. Later June Valli recorded it, as did The Orioles. Beautiful song, but it should be known that this was a Country & Western tune originally.

Really? I'm not saying your wrong but a country singer singing about the chapel. Sounds much more like a gospel song

@GumatzPotrzebie Okay I will check it out again. I always associate the song with Elvis as it is the first version I remember. It has some connection to my past and that can be a powerful thing. I am open minded however.

They are great on this song, but nobody puts the emotion into this tune like Elvis. He "owns" this song.
