In 1975 my brother Mike and I found an original Wiener Mobile in a barn in Arizona outside of Phoenix while getting a load of hay. We were so excited to have found that Wiener Mobile in that barn. Dusty but in great condition!

I grew up seeing this car on T.V. commercials, and occasionally around L.A., They gave us wienie whistles. When I was older, I actually saw the wienie mobile parked on an old car lot in L.A. It was dusty but I don't recall any damage. Of course it an older model than the ones shown here. Nice to know that they are still around.

I remember Oscar Meyer use to give out little red plastic weeinie whistles to the kids when they drove thru town. And the whole neighborhood was filled with kids riding around whistling on their bikes. Kids today wouldn't understand. They have an ap on their phone that probably does the same thing.

I got curious bc i saw the weenie mobile when i was being transported in the back of a state van. It was 2005 and i was 14 i was cuffed and shackled but the driver smiled and waved at me. This was on the nys thruway between Syracuse and Rochester i was being transported from pyramid in the bronx to industry outside of Rochester. The agency is a subsection of the dept of corrections known as ocfs and is specifically for juvenile delinquents that have been convicted of a crime. Today i got thinking that girl must be the most sweetest non judgmental person ever. What do u do when u see a van with prisoners inside of it? Would u even be comfortable making eye contact ?
