something about this seems truly groundbreaking; I keep thinking of what people must have thought when they first heard the DX7 in 1983. This could go down in history as a synthesizer that changed the way people thought about synthesizers. I am extremely interested in this one.

It is groundbreaking. Beyond filters, beyond MIDI, beyond fixed architecture, beyond a single voice. It's a synth saying: what we usually craft is not good enough. ADSR are not good enough, sounds must evolve more subtely. A couple of filters are not good enough to give the sense of resonance, we need several resonators right down the voice structure. Patch cables and analog are not good enough for scaling to the complexity needed for those sounds, this synth made out of eurorack would be the size of an appartment and impossible to patch. Current articulations methods via simple linear patch matrices are not good enough to capture all the details a keyboardist puts in his play. And it just sounds beautiful.

I see everyone going crazy and mind blown. However to be honest this is something that should have been available years ago. All the innovation is in the software. Expressive E already had the advantage of wonderful hardware design on their side. Haken Audio already had the advantage of amazing software with the best portrayal of the full capabilities of MPE for decades now. So seeing them team up like dreadbox and polyend did is great. Great job all around. But still a lot of work to do. Its awesome these companies are finally realizing teaming up and making something better than thier individual sums is the way to go.

Pre-ordered and well worth it - thank you, True Cuckoo for showing exactly how I would want to use it. As a guitarist who plays synthesizer, this amount and style of expression is exactly what I've wanted since I first saw Vangelis play a CS-80 and saw him quivering his finger on a key and thought he was really moving the key to bend the note rather than adjusting the amount of aftertouch to create that illusion. Not only vibrato, subtle bends, and a more intuitive way to control aftertouch effects, but the ability to bend a minor third up and a major third down a tad to may them closer to the pure interval should be possible.
