Is the barrel free floated? Because it does not look free floated. That would be a big issue especially as you advertise it as a "bipod tripod rifle".

Jeremiah Burton Some gun are much, much worse than others. I like the Garand action and the guns using it but the design is one of the worst in that regard. Best way to keep a gun running in a filthy environment is to try to keep the crap out in the first place. The AK actually doesn't handle dirt & mud very well. The AR, the gun with a running history of claimed unreliability is a fallacy, it handles it very well because the action is well closed off and does a good job of not letting crap in.

Tre' Roney if the company goes bust good luck on getting replacement parts. Which quite a few of the smaller companies who have survived on panic buying will find out in the next few years or so. Since at the federal level there is not current threat to the 2a.

The only benefit of a platform like this that I see is that the gas block is underneath the rifle so it would be possible to get an optic mounted low.. but there's a huge rail on there so fuck me

Well looking at the website seems they have dropped the price to about under 3000 dollars for the base model. But still no video recent reviews on the gun. Meanwhile Springfield release a newer AR 15. To be honest Springfield could have created this AR style detachable upper and lower Chassis System for the M14 /M1 if they wanted too for Cheaper and better marketing ...If you can make a bullpup M14 surely you can make a AR styled lighter to carry easier to take apart and clean M14/M1. The question is Why? ....The answer is Why not? I would rather this than A front heavy EBR Chasssis for a modern take.

So confused on the concept of this gun. Taking an older and frankly inferior (at least in terms of accuracy) action and combining it with modern AR ergonomics. Why not just get an AR-10, its better in just about every way.

Brotein92 The system is just about as old as the AR10 and you never know, might shoot like a champ. Will not need any of the mods to get a normal m14 to shoot great. Some of those rifles do shoot amazingly though, springfield doesn't show what a quality m14 is capable of.

A gun that uses an outdated operating system and discards everything positive about the AR platform...Guys are just making anything to make something different. Get a HK MR762, Larue PredatObr, SCAR 17s, Noveske N6, or KAC SR25. Or buy a M1A and put it in a Vltor or Sage Chassis if you love the M1A.

808Stevie It does use a proven reliable system, suppressors easier than a normal m1a, and adds calibers to the m1a platform. For those interested in the platform it is pretty huge. In addition it is significantly more light weight. Also notice this is more marketed towards the civilian market. In my opinion a very cool rifle and a lot lighter than the standard rifle in any of the current chassis systems. I am quite interested to see how it shoots.
