PastFX should do like, a version of the Phase 100 that can be switched between 2-stage, 4-stage and 10-stage.

Hopefully this means PastFX are doing their own version of the Phase 100

You just have to love a pedal with that much of a vintage look that matches its vintage sound.

I have one from 1978 and it sounds awesome. P.S.: That pedal can nail the phaser sound on Prayer's "Baby Come Back".

Awesome story and fantastic demo, i especially loved the nod to the Budgie songs. I had to put on Bandolier and crank it.

Oh, so that sounds great! Its definitely got that thrown into space and bounced off a couple of planets, beaten up look.

Yeah, it's got some serious character!

My favorite use of the 100 is the opening intro on Lit’s “A Place In the Sun”. I saw them open for No Doubt that summer of 2000 and they did the same intro live, and it just sounded fucking massive. Wildly underrated record even without “My Own Worst Enemy”.
@LeonTodd11 күн бұрын
I remember Lit! They never really got it as big in Australia but they had some fun songs.

I love my Phase 100, bought it off Ebay in a horrid state and rebuilt it to factory spec.

@@LeonTodd It's from 1978. Block Logo. I used to have an early script one and another block one too. MXR pedals are obviously my favorite by my avatar, been slowly rebuilding the collection. What year is that one? Would love to see the insides of these with the bottom off when you make these vids. :)

Where on Earth might I find this missing MXR Phaser pedal? Also, have you ever played through the Seymour Duncan Polaron? I have it, and it rocks!

The SD pedals fascinate me. Specs look great!

Has that Fender replaced your beloved DGT? I haven't seen it around in a while.
@LeonTodd9 күн бұрын
No way! The DGT is a forever guitar. This does a different thing though. DGT just needs some new strings ;)

All the vintage pedals I had and traded as a kid weren’t worth anything and were easy to get. If only we knew. I have a 70s Maxon script logo phaser that’s also real dope.

Those 70's Maxons look and sound dope

Very new to guitar teenage me threw out a Coloursound Overdriver pedal. I didn't know how it was supposed to work so thought it was broken - not overdrivy enough.

I had a vintage phase 90 and a vintage OD. I drilled a whole for the 9V lead to get to the battery from the outside. MXR made you take the damn things apart to replace them. Terrible design. Gave them away and opted for better gear that was far more ergonomic
@LeonTodd10 күн бұрын
That's the thing right - old gear can be fun, it can sound great but it can be a total PITA.
@kierenmoore323611 күн бұрын
That’s one of ‘the real deal’ vintage phasers … that particular unit has seen some action, too! They don’t make ‘em like those, anymore. PS - have you done a full studio tour vid, recently?!
