What we’ve seen most his career wasn’t even his best version but the fact he recovered form that injury and GOAT type PG stuff to then become the definition of a pure point/a-to ratio king and still be heralded highly, ranks him highly for me. I've never really thought Chris Paul was all that, but a little factoid I've literally never heard mentioned that goes to show how much the superteam era left him behind was that he was one of only 3 players on the Olympic '08 redeem team to NEVER play on an NBA team with another member of that team (Tayshaun Prince and Michael Redd were the other 2 and they didn't play whole lot longer). So that kinda goes to show why a title hasn't happened. But it's also pretty rare to see anyone mention just how few seasons he was widely considered the best point guard in the NBA.

Lead the league in rebounds, pretty sure it was tied for his 3rd best season for blocks per game, got an all NBA selection and only missed a handful of games that year. But more to the point, that Redeem Team doubled as a networking event and Paul was the guy nobody at any stage in their career was teaming up with. Even in Boozer's case at that point nobody really knew what Kobe was gonna look like that year since he only played a few games and got hurt again the year before so for Boozer after he got amnestied it was a "why not, who knows, maybe Kobe can make a come back and I'm still productive". Paul nobody picked. Not a one.

Bron had AD who was the Lakers best player in the 2020 Finals and was robbed of the FMVP. After that it’s Kawhi. 2x DPOY, 2x champion and a 2x FMVP. Kawhi has led a team to the Finals too. Then you have KD. 4X Scoring champ. A 2x champion, 2x FMVP and 1x MVP. Harden is next then it’s Russ.

@@EJGARCIIA no they not Curry doesn't have the impact of a Cp3 KD or Bron. He's a great player we all knows that. But he doesn't move needles like certain players. He's in a tier under them like Harden AD PG 13 Dame and company.

@@EJGARCIIA There's only a handful of real superstars that move needles. Giannis Embiid Jokic Kawhi Luka Bron KD and CP3 everybody else is that next tier who needs another superstar added with them to equal those guys impact.
