The new church in Agrate Brianza (Monza, Italy) has a concert of six bells, cast in 1870 in ultra-light gauge, a true rarity. The bell tower has been unsafe for many years, so the bells cannot move and ring fixed. The two largest bells were destroyed during the Second World War and paid for by the state as new in 1951.
The first church in Agrate was built in the 18th century and was located in the countryside, because it housed pilgrims on their journey. In 1200, the town had three churches, one of which was the main church. The main church was created a parish by Pope Alexander VI on 22 March 1493. In 1756, the elegant bell tower of the church was erected, which was completely demolished in 1925 to make way for the present one. The new church was consecrated on 15 December 1934 and houses paintings by the Beato Angelico School of Milan. To the right of the façade is a fountain with a monument to missionary Father Clemente Vismara, a native of Agrate and proclaimed blessed in 2011.
