Oh! I wish I'd found you thirty years ago! lol Well..... hmmm...There's my little, brown, over-stitched body bag, my turquoise jewelry (one particular set I LOVE) and um.... hats. YES! I love a good Fedora, too! HOWEVER, they looked much better on me a long time ago than they do now. Scarves! I have one that I adore. It's autumn colors like beige and olive green and a few other colors, and I think it truly is transforming, AND it's warm! can't beat that! lol I agree with you totally on the glasses, too. I did the same with a pair of Jacquline Kennedy Onassis sunglasses that I ordered through the Smithsonian Museum Store. Thanks again for your help. Hiya Karen! I love accessories! Being so tiny, they really do transform my limited clothing choices into something different with each different accessory I choose. The biggest plus is they’re so easy to store & I’m ashamed to say how many different accessories from belts to scarves, jewellery, you name it I have stashed! For me it’s my silver Chelsea boots, have had various pairs since the early 80s & they make everything look great (hey, who doesn’t know Jimmy😆), never want to be without instant “cool”!! Aww Patricia Field, she used to be my biggest customer when I designed-always gave us indie designers a chance & sold so fast I could hardly keep up! I (as usual) have so much to choose from in my closet, it just depends on mood-but I’d say usually it’s one of my crazy belts, or a colourful scarf tied somewhere (even as a belt or around a hat), big, dark sunglasses, switching out shoes & jewellery. Those are my go-to items that change the same old thing into something “new” & fab! Loved this video idea (you’d really know I was bonkers if you saw my belt collection), maybe something like this each season? Have a lovely weekend & stay cool in the heat (😂hubby said the same “hot as balls” today I cracked up when you did as well), sunscreen & hydrate! Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️🦇🦋

My magic go to piece is always a belt, as I love highlighting my small waist. My fav is a vintage classic CHANEL chain belt, which used to belong to a French fashion model, adds a fab touch of glamour to any outfit. In the winter, it's a wool felt fedora, just a cheap high street buy, but it always get compliments when I wear it.

How right you are! I wear a wonderful Panama hat similar to yours and it transforms my look...I have other hats but my Panama (Ecuadoran really) just wows everything up a notch from jeans to long dresses.Same with my wide brown belt similar to yours..on a long simple dress...red one, navy one, whatever, it just takes it to Ralph Lauren Chic same with my large buckled cowboy belt...for an hour glass shape, even petite like mine, you are cheating yourself of a major wow factor if you dont have a collection of big belts. The two together,the belt with the hat summers with a long simple knit tank dress and people stare. Another great video...thanks!

It takes fashion into the realm of individual style. The cookie-cutter store mannequin is left standing alone in the window. Collecting these special pieces is a long term investment. One of my favorites is a wide copper repoussé belt made by a Mexican artisan during the 1950's. It screams FRIDA KAHLO style. I found it on ETSY. It was not cheap...but not too expensive, either. I can wear it all year long and it cinches my style! Hand-made hats that I seem to find every year at the Chicago One-of-a-Kind Show. My husband sends me with money to find my Christmas present...and I come home with style gold...for my head...and their warm! I love handbags with unusual shapes or textures. I love the Antonia bag, I have an Issey Miyake bag like yours only in a bronze metallic. It rocks black and golds. A curly lamb Milly bag from years ago and a triangle wooden bag that was hand made by a South American artisan,,,,shaped like a Japanese temple and a beautiful polished wood. I found that bag at the gift shop at the Art Institute of Chicago...on sale...and my mother bought if for me as a birthday gift. Navajo jewelry is and always has been (along with cowboy boots) favorites. I always pick up a special piece when I go to Santa Fe. They get a lot of complements. Accessories really offer an outfit that final statement about our creative vision. Great video!

Have this drapy lace cream top which is a beautiful silky tanktopish with broad shoulderstraps underneath and a flowy gorgeous cream lace in a loose batwing in the arms which stops just where the arms are most flattering and has a low square decoltage , this piece has saved me Sooo many times . Also have a set of a large collier and heavy bracelet in sterling silver and crystals in 1900 century indian nobility Style which also is one of those pieces whether using the bracelet and the collier seperatly or not .... The best story is when I visited Seattle and one of My best friends and her husband who is persian said We were going to a party to celebrate some relatives of his wedding (absolutly lovely people and couple) anyway , We asked My friend’s husband what the dress code was and he said casual garden party .... We were like are you absolutly sure ?!? And yes he Said he was absolutly sure. So we turn up at this magnificent house with a large Very large garden with severalwaterfalls etc and well....... dresscode gowns and all the jewellry -real mind you !!! that you can find dripping of the ladies We are talking full scale sets with BIG Stones here The men dresscode chinos and Lacoste shirts ..... at that point I felt Very lucky indeed that I had put on My lucky lace top and My indian set which is Very clearly old, some stylish black dress trousers and kittenheel but clearly good shoes and was travelling ( My friend unfortunatly was not so lucky....).... I ended up having a Fantastic time dancing with the older ladies and the bride after having cast of My shoes barefoot and even got the complement that I danced like in old Teheran of one of the old dame’s of that time :) truly a magical party ... and in the end wearing that ( had an inkling that the husband might be wrong) made me comfortable and thus seem like I belonged in some way .... so magical pieces indeed !

I have been having so many problem issues in like every aspect of my life for last few years that clothing, styles, accessories, whatever, have not been a major player in my daily life or even my life, Period. Haven't been really interested in even doing the things I love like hiking, biking, ( live north and west of Manhattan)......so actually, most of my clothes have had the sportier look. I've been living style-free(style-less) it seems , and then I watch a video or 2 or 3, 4, and I can't even answer your simplest of questions. What a style dud I've become. Yet years ago, when I was married and we actually went out in the city, or flew to San Diego for business or went into NYC almost every week, I actually looked good but not to compare with you. Now I just lack the umph and the funds, or places to go to shop and/ dress as great as you, or to even have fun with it. Think I'll start by decluttering my clothes, shoes, everything. It'll be like a breath of fresh air...I hope!

I bought a pair of the George Keburia Pearl White Cat Eye sunglasses this season. I think they look futuristic-retro, and I love the oxymoron vibe that implies. I've been eyeing the Bao Bao Issey Miyake crossbody bag (I hardly ever carry a tote), but I can't find it offered in the platinum, only white or black. The polygons are so mesmerizing... Its not easy. I only have one shown in the video that fits. I only wear it when my hair feels lower and less big if that makes sense. Once its a day before wash day forget it LOL!!

Don't laugh, I know it's summer, but there is a hat I wear every winter, usually with deep red/brown lipstick - and it gets comments/compliments from both men and women several times a week!
