I have that same razor but with the longer handle as there is the long handle version of the Bravo handle through Executive Shaving by the way very nice shave.

A sign of great content, is how many points of discussion can be raised in such a short space of time! The Outlaw was a part collaboration with Alpha Industries. In the main, the Outlaw is sold as the Alpha Outlaw in other parts of the world and is the exact same razor. The reason there's no overhang of the blade, is because the build tolerances are supposed to align the blade exactly, when it's tightened up. The traditional overhang was for to adjust the blade alignment in razors that may not have the same build quality, as well as the fact that earlier blade manufacturing perhaps wasn't quite as good, as it is today. Many more points that you raised that could be discussed but I feel, I've offered enough! Keep up the good work. I’d heard people talking about the Alpha Outlaw, but wasn’t aware it was the same razor. I thought it was a bespoke design. Also thanks for the heads up on the blade overhang. I just thought it was the fact a DE blade was a fairly generic size and the razors aren’t designed around that. Every days a school day as they say! The video was a little longer than I wanted it to be, but I have a tendency to waffle on. I try to promote points for discussion where I can which is maybe why my videos are long than normal, certainly with my reviews, but I need to get my standard SOTD down to 15 mins. In all fairness I’m still trying to find the right balance with my videos, but it will come I’m sure. Really appreciate you watching and commenting though and if there’s anything you would like me to review let me know.

I’m glad you like it Stuart. I shaved with my standard one the other day and the shave was fantastic. It’s an awesome piece of engineering! Also club cola is one of my favourite scents. It’s really refreshing without being too sweet

Hi Andy I have just bought the Outlaw as funny enough it was due to the fact that my 6c gave up the ghost after 11 months using it in rotation. I cannot pass comment on the Outlaw as I haven't had an opportunity to try it yet that will be in the morning. Enjoyed your video so all the best for your channel.

Yeah it’s a great razor to be fair. Very efficient without being overly aggressive. It’s just a well made razor. I want to pick up the longer handle for it. I’d love to say “use my discount code for XX amount off”, but I haven’t reached that level yet 😂. Appreciate you watching though 🇬🇧💈✌🏻

Welcome down the rabbit hole! It can be an expensive hobby, but at the same time the benefits of traditional wet shaving from a cost point of view long term and an environmental perspective justify that cost. I’m a big fan of Wickham soaps. They can easily go toe to toe with some of the tallow based soaps.

Hi Andy we spoke a few days ago when I had just taken delivery of the Outlaw razor. Over the weekend I used It twice once with Tobs and once with Tabac, a cream and a hard soap. I used Proraso preshave Astra blade and usual post shave regime. Unfortunately on both occasions my face was really sore something I haven't experienced before with any other razor even razors with large blade gap I often used my Rockwell on plate 6. It feels like the blade chatters unless that is just me. I accept it sometimes takes a few shaves to get the best out of a razor. I just wondered if you had any advice which might help. Many thanks in advance. PS I haven't shaved today to give my face a chance to recover I'll try it again with a different blade. Keep well and keep safe.

Hi Leslie. To be honest I’m not entirely sure what would cause the ‘chatter’ you mention and I’ve not found that myself. I’d suggest using as little pressure as you can when using it as it can bite if you let it. If the Astra isn’t your normal blade it may be that which is causing the irritation. When I did my 7 day shave I used the Voskhod more than any other. Failing that I’d suggest reaching out to Executive Shaving themselves. They would be the best people to give advice. Brian is very good at giving it and I’m sure he would want you to enjoy the razor.

Hi Andy just a quick update I persevered with the Outlaw and now I am getting good three pass shaves. The problem was blade alignment and because you said you had been using Voshod blades I bought a pack to try but personally I didn't find them very sharp. I have tried several blades to to try and find the best match. I enjoyed the Feather and I tried the Gillette Silver Blue which I was blown away with. Hope this information is helpful.

@@rutkowsky1000 Hi John unfortunately it wasn’t good as It was always a problem with the blade alignment. I tried and tried and even sent it back to see if it could be rectified. I changed it for a Rex Envoy which I am delighted with. Hope this helps.
