Pretty much nailed the setup on that rig. Balance, weight, power, & traction all just flow smoothly together. Very well thought out machine. Handles the hard stuff quite easily. Driver skill not under estimated either! Top notch Clayton!

He analyzed and solved the problem better than everyone else, the weight distribution is what really makes this thing perform, the horsepower is secondary. The ones flipping over aren't flipping over because they don't have enough power.

Of all these insane machines this one looks like the most well designed and balanced rig of all. The layout looks like it’s the least prone to flip and that suspension is just on another level. His rig soaks up bumps that sends the solid axle rigs flying.

Its a fantastic design "scientifically" and also luks "badass" keeping rear tyres more grippy to give more torque and front tyres little less grippy to drive the truck through any terrain , Excellent , loved it

While it is definitely a super impressive machine, this sort of stuff has just as much to do with throttle control and maneuvering than it does suspension and horsepower. A lot of these guys just lay into it and bounce all around hoping a tire will grab something and keep em goin. Meanwhile, this guy has a whole lot more method and deliberate spurts of power and attention to weight transfer. Impressive driver.

Outlaw has independent suspension and a mid engine design,probably makes it a little better handling than the other buggy’s,not sure though, I’m only a spectator.

He is a better driver, but the car is also way more planted. It has independent suspension, mid engine, low cg design, and a long wheelbase to name a few things. The others just bounce and flip. This can get the power down.

i use to think up these things as a kid, honestly, that is just how i would build one. My Dad is a LOGGER, he is a big fan of those tractor like tires in the back. he wanted to put them on my honda recon when i was a teenager. I would have to say your buggy performs the best, and the driver knows how to use the throttle to get over the humps.

One thing I keep thinking about is, imagining taking a friend for a ride in one of these. Their metropolis way of life & suddenly looking at terrain they'd never think of crossing (even getting there) in their SUV. "We're going up that path of 4' rocks, trees & mud, then up that 15' wall of rocks to jump over that 1st hill & make our way to the top." What fucking "PATH?!" Found rock bouncer vids by accident but I'm not gearhead and these things are sick. Why don't you see more fully independent suspension bouncers? It's obviously superior to solid axles...

And now with rear-steer! And that is not your run of the mill rear SAS linkage! It looks to me like the rear linkage creates lift on acceleration - seems to show that pretty good when he launches from the parking slot and check again at 2:32. Would love it if he'd share some secrets with us. Is that a turn-brake handle to the right beside his steering wheel?
