I just love how dramatic this theme was when dally was running from the cops and how fast they found dally but there was no reason for the cops to keep shooting at dally when hes crawling to the greasers and none of this would have happened if 1. Ponyboy never went to the church 2. Ponyboy should have jumped out of the window as soon as all the kids were out but no johnny had to push him out 3. Johnny should have jumped out as soon as ponyboy got out because he waited like 10 seconds and then he got hurt 4. If johnny did die he should have already given pony boy the book so dally could have avoided death and understand johnny wanted him to live

I agree it sucks that Dallas died but he died for a reason and so did Johnny. Dallas died because he lost Johnny, his only reason to live was to protect him and after he died he couldn't handle it. But they both died not only for the story. Johnny redeemed himself after killing Bob and he sacrificed himself for people he believed had more of a reason to live he dies a hero. Dally died young, chaotic, and reckless, he doesn't grieve he never had to but after Johnny died he could not handle all the emotions he has having, he is usually closed in. Dallas Winston wanted to die like it said in the book. He was to cowardly to commit suicide so he let the cops do it.

It’s kinda Steve and sodas fault this whole thing happened because Steve and soda didn’t let pony come to the game with them, so pony and Johnny went with dally to the drive in, then they met cherry and Marcia, then they walked them home, then bob and Randy got mad at pony and Johnny for walking cherry and Marcia home, then pony and Johnny go away and fell asleep in the lot, then pony goes home and Darry gets mad cause he’s home late, then pony gets smacked, then he runs away, then Johnny and pony go to the park, then the socs find them, then the fight happens, then Johnny kills bob, then they go to dally for advice, then dally says to go to the church, then they go to the church, then Johnny drops his cig, then dally comes to pick up Johnny and pony, then they go to Dairy Queen, then Johnny wants to turn himself in, then they drive back over where the church is, then they see the church is one fire, then pony goes in to save the children, then Johnny follows, then dally follows, then they get the kids, then dally helps pony out, then Johnny doesn’t make it in time, then a board falls on Johnny, then Johnny falls through the floor and breaks his back, then dally goes in to save him, then all three are taken to the hospital, then pony reunites with soda and darry, then they go home, then they sleep, then Steve and twobit come over, then soda and Steve and darry leave for work, then pony and twobit go to that restaurant place, then they see the socs, then Randy talks to Ponyboy, then twobit and pony go to the hospital to see Johnny, then johnny passes out, then Twobit cusses Johnnys mom out for being a bitch, then they go see dally, then dally gets depressed because he knows Johnny isn’t doing well, then dally takes twobits knife, then twobit and pony go back to the curtis house where they all get ready for the rumble, then they go to the rumble, then the rumble starts, then eveyrone gets beat up, then greasers win, then dally and pony go to the hospital to see Johnny, Johnny dies, then dally goes insane, meanwhile pony delivers the news to the rest the gang, then dally robs a store and calls up darry to tell him for everyone to meet him at the lot, then everyone goes to the lot, but they don’t make it in time and dally pulls a gun on the police, then dally gets shot, and dally dies, then pony passes out, then pony goes to court and Johnny / pony are found not guilty, then darry lectures pony about school, then darry and pony argue, then soda runs away, then darry reveals that sandy cheated on soda and get pregnant, then darry and pony run after soda, then soda talks to them, then they all go home, then pony finds the letter from Johnny, then everyone is depressed. Moral of the story: let Ponyboy go to the game.
