I love your channel. I'm a student to filming and it always blows my mind the level of detail that goes into movies that most normal people probably miss. Yet, they did not miss it at all, they were engaged with it. Without these details, the movie wont have that cinematic impact that we are accustomed to enjoy.

Thank you, Chris! Filmmaking is such a beautiful process and learning how to nail all of the details is the icing on the cake!

I feel the internet is Short of OTS explanation videos, which is one of the majority of shots used in a film. This video was great, make more videos about OTS, like OTS with 2 or more people, within a group, with relation to objects, etc. That would be really helpful. Cheers!

@@StudioBinder I never looked at a OTS - Shot so closely. I love these shot - analysis, because therefore I can learn how to play with the viewers subconscious. Your videos are also very well structured and overseeable! Am I allowed to ask, what sources of research you use for these types of videos?

This was such a good analysis! During the scene when Ford is delivering a line, it cuts to Theresa and Ford is still speaking and then back to Ford I want to know how that’s filmed, did they do a dolly of Ford all the way as he says the line or do they keep the mic over Ford and switch the camera to a shot of Theresa? It would be really cool if you guys did an analysis of costumes and how the colors of the costumes impact the characters!

Loving videos like this, but I always wonder how much is academic vs. truly subconscious & practical. Deacons often restrics himself to wide lenses, making it a necessity to place the camera between subjects when shooting a CU or MCU. Cleans shots are also safer and better for editors, possibly allowing for better moments of comedy. But nevertheless, a great theory and definitely worth exploring!
