The craziest thing about Jokic is that he is not even trying to stats padding his way to MVP. How many players can just have a night with shooting the ball just 3 times, score 4 points, but also has 16 assists, 7 rebounds, and 5 blocks?

Why do Jokic fans always say that. Go check the nets record without KD when Kyrie had to step up. And go watch some games. You will actually see what a lottery team looks like. That nets team lost like 65% of their games when KD didn't play and Kyrie had to lead them. With him.they literally were a #2 seed with a close to .700 record

For me, it depends on whose team is on top, but I think Jokic doesn't really care much about mvp and playing basketball at a low pace in the regular season And for me, Jokic already has 3mvps What happened last year was just ridiculous And regular season mvp is highly overrated in todays era, players don't play hard as much as playoffs So teams, or players who is capable of being 1st and 2nd seed pace themselves

Ofc the MVP but I feel like this has been a bit of a lazy lala coasting season for Jokic. It's not that I think he doesn't care or doesn't try, but I think he's on cruise control mentally holding himself in reserve for the postseason and sort of also proving he doesn't really care about chasing regular season whatever. He has nothing left to prove at this point - except maybe again in the postseason. The beast is asleep until April 20

Hy dude! I really enjoy your videos, I find your analysis deep and super interesting!! But there is maybe room for little improvement: 1/As a newcomer in NBA statistic world, I find it hard to understand the difference between some stats (even if you try to always quickly explain what they mean) > maybe it will be interesting to make a specific video on all of the stats you often use. Don’t know if you thought about making that kind of « tutorial » video but it could be interesting. Furthemore, as I’m french, it makes it even harder to understand when you use super specific words/nuances in the videos but can’t blame you for that! 2/Maybe you should also do a series but on other trophies (MIP for example), it is always great to hear about Jokic, Luka, etc… but talking about less known athletes is always great too! I really love your videos and watch everyone of them so keep up with the good work, my comment was more about possible improvements and giving new ideas! 😊 Bye!

The Joker and Giannis are a wash to me. The Joker is elite offensively but not so much defensively. Giannis is elite,defensively, but not as great as the Joker offensively. Both teams are not as great when either of them are off the court. When the teams went head to head against each other it was a split. I wish they could split the MVP in half and call it a draw but time will tell. Of the vote splits between the Joker and Giannis, SGA possibly could win it because he's a new face and he has also played great for his team too.
@lewiszwiefelhofer77393 ай бұрын
Giannis is better on offense this year. Over 30 points a game with over 60% shooting (not true shooting). This has NEVER been done in NBA history, the deficit in rebounds and assists does not make up for how much more Giannis has been able to score. You cannot simultaneously understand the significance of what Giannis is doing and conclude that jokic is having the more valuable season, and thats not even taking into account how much better Giannis is on defense, which is exactly why Giannis is MVP and its not even close. And every time people are confronted with this fact they say something like "well Milwaukee had expectations . . . They didn't meet expectations" whose expectations exactly? You mean the sensationalist clickbait media? And when these insane click bait expectations weren't met, more click bait sensation was made about this "failure". Meanwhile the bucks are approaching the end of the season as a top 2 seed and Giannis is having a historically great season poised to make a run at the chip. The Bucks are EXACTLY where the fuck they expected to be.

Jokic is not the MVP, everyone is DESPERATE to give it to him to try and right the wrong of last year's joke of an MVP. Two wrongs don't make a right. Giannis is the 2024 MVP and its not close. Giannis is avg 30 points a game with over 60% shooting, not true shooting. This has NEVER been done, Giannis is on his way to THE MOST efficient season of offensive basketball in NBA history, he is outscoring Jokic (by a lot) and doing so with a higher shooting% (by a lot), rebounds and assists do not cover the disparity of the value of their shooting. That alone undermines the Jokic for MVP case but it really falls to shambles when you consider that Jokic and Giannis are both on 2 seed teams just 3 wins apart at the moment, and how much better Giannis is on defense (again, it's a lot). At this rate we are headed for an endless cycle of giving out pity MVP's to whoever got robbed the year before, this is toxic and must stop, Giannis is MVP and it its not even close anymore.
