I just found out how it got "canceled". I am a 23 year old boy, I had no particular reasons to feel represented in this work, but from the first episode I loved and respected it. Each episode brought me closer to the characters, their motivations, their fears and their love. My heart skipped a beat when I learned that the author's original plans cannot be fulfilled, it's a terrible thing in the art world. I know I cannot change things, and I know that there are decisions made at the top that will probably not be able to be changed, but if you are reading this comment, if you too, like me, have this story at heart and want to respect the intellectual will of the author , help me spread a message of love towards the series, just as Owl House has spread its message of love that perhaps has not been fully understood. Thanks Dana Terrace, your sadness at missing the chance to tell your story your way is the sadness of all of us. Edit: can we also take a Moment to really appreciate how, even under pressure and without the time she wanted, Dana is licterally killing it with the new season? I saw the first episode and it was simply PERFECT. If only we could see more of that world.

I love the symbolism in Hunter's small frame in the season 2 outro - whilst Belos is holding his mask back onto his face, Hunter seems to be taking his down. This is comparing how although Hunter looks up to Belos, he's not exactly like him - instead of just following what he's always known (aka keeping his mask), he's trying to explore the unknown and discover how much more there is to life.

The show is officially over. I am here, and I am crying. I think this was the first show that brought me a feeling of nostalgia that could never be replaced. watching every episode made me happy when I was stressed out or sad, and I honestly felt like I was part of a family when watching The Owl House. The characters, the music, and the plot is a remedy that I'll never forget. I'll never understand why Disney decided to cancel the show. A small part of me will always be mad at Disney for cutting off such an amazing experience for no reason. There were so many things left unsaid, memories inexperienced, and adventures left unknown. This song means so, SO much to me. The Owl House was my distraction from grief when my cat passed away(mind you, I had him my whole life). I watched this whole show with my sister, who I almost never get to properly bond with(personal issues) and it was just like we were in a little bubble together, while the world threw everything that it could at us to break it. That bubble quickly broke, but man, I miss those times. This show will always be there, but it still feels like it’s gone. Maybe it’s because of my sister, I’m not sure. I miss winter 2021.
