... And not a cellphone in sight. Thanks for the flashback memories, Jordan. I love your 80s videos. As a 20-something in the 80s, it WAS an awesome decade.

I miss cell phones that only made calls. Bring back mall culture.

Amd there was no social media apps or any technology, it was all face to face direct contact, whatever has happened to life since?😢

Rare to see a mall with the older style railings these days. Seems like they all have glass panel railings. Its weird how such a small detail can make you feel so nostalgic. I probably never gave the railings in malls a second thought until they were all replaced.

That’s a late 90s update for the mall. It was even cooler in the 80s. It was all orange and brown and there was a spiral ramp where that elevator is now

Damn, she's ridiculously beautiful! I grew up in the 90's which was a great decade, but the 80's were just something else. The music, the movies, the vibe... I'm so envious of anyone who spent there teenage years in that decade.

Called it 'The Rounder'. I pushed my daughter in her stroller up that thing countless times when my wife and I visited The Oxford Valley Mall.

Im an 80s kid and 90s teen. I miss mall culture. In high school, my friends and i always went to the mall after school and just spent time together for hours.

The color scheme of that mall is not 1980s. This mall has definitely been renovated since the 1980s. The airplane hangar type ceiling is indicative of the mall style of the 90s and early 2000s, not the 80s. That pastel colored tile flooring is typical of the 90s. However, good job by the young lady with her 80s hairdo and outfit. Next time she tries to do an 80s outfit I recommend wearing one of those big huge and long “Frankie Say” white t-shirts that the girls wore in the 80s. If you want to see how an 80s mall really looked then look up dead mall videos like Aces adventures on the Gwinnett Place Mall, or the Tucson Mall. Also movies like Can’t But Me Love, The Legend of Billy Jean, and Valley Girl. The Starcourt Mall from the show Stranger things is also a good example. Also, 80s malls had water fountains. Something that is rare in the remaining malls today that are still doing okay. Unfortunately I don’t know of any true 80s malls that are not dead, abandoned, or demolished. There probably are a couple but I don’t know of them.
