The Pace Report: "Starting Over" The Musiq Soulchild Interview

Welcome to another edition of The Pace Report featuring 12-time Grammy Award Nominee and soul vocalist Musiq Soulchild. Musiq performed recently at this year's 2017 BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn Festival at Prospect Park on the heels of his brand new record, "Start Over," his eighth record on EOne Music.
In a career spanning almost 20 years, Musiq Soulchild has written endless R&B classics like "Just Friends," "Love," "Half Crazy," "Don't Change" and "Buddy." He's also collaborated with the likes of The Roots and Carlos Santana.
After his performance, I talked with Musiq about the importance of native Philadelphia roots, what inspires him to write, and his new release, "Start Over."

I really enjoyed this segment, tfs... Musiq soulchild's gift of song and poetry, with all that he has produced and put out there, is a deep compilation of the beauty in life's lessons, in love, in pain, in laughter , heartache, and joy... I have spent many days and nights, driving out of town, or just to work, cleaning my house, in the shower, at the gym, listening to this man spit those lyrics and the rythm of the music, has been so deep for me, I find joy in, wherever I am, or whatever I'm doing, snapping my fingers, two stepping my butt off!!! He is hands down one of the most phenomenal musicians, songwriters, producers, I ever heard!!!!
