2:40 Jerome is right. For gold and iron, if multiple people are in the generator they all get the same amount. So basically if you have 2 people in the generator, as a team you get twice the resources you would if only 1 person was in there.

[EFFORT COMMENT] Hi, here are a few things to consider when playing Bedwars. As someone who is experienced with Bedwars, I'd like to share my knowledge that I've gained throughout my quest to becoming better at the game. Although I would expect that your values would lie in efficiency and the entertainment of the video, Bedwars has become more competitive than before even though many strong veteran Bedwars players have become more inactive because of the knowledge that was built upon for these past years being shared and passed onto newer players. I'm uncertain whether you will decide to make another Bedwars video in the future, but I'd be glad to leave a comment if your wish is to understand Bedwars better. I'm sure that learning new things and trying to replicate them in your videos will help foster interest in future Bedwars videos, otherwise the possibility of repetitivity will likely heighten. Part of the thread (Chapter III-VII) will be in the replies section divided into two different comments. Contents: Chapter I: Optimal configurations Chapter II: Early Game Chapter III: Game Sense Chapter IV: Techniques Chapter V: PvP Chapter VI: Clutching Chapter VII: Miscellaneous Chapter I: Optimal Configurations 1. Use the version 1.8.9 To begin with, utilising the right version is crucial for better gameplay. Using the version 1.8.9 ensures that PvP and gameplay feels smooth which includes but is not limited to not using shield to block or not weird lagbacks because of certain blocks. I'm sure that newer versions might be more familiar to a younger audience and it might be an aesthetic choice but since Hypixel runs natively on 1.8.9, I would either consider using a resource pack that resembles the new texture pack or switching to a 1.20 server that runs Bedwars. However, 1.8 PvP still remains popular to this day and older viewers tend to enjoy this PvP style more as opposed to the newer PvP systems, and furthermore Hypixel's Bedwars is extremely iconic. Nonetheless, it's ultimately your decision. 2. Thin/short sword and fire texture packs Thin/short sword and fire texture packs are something I would consider quite viable for your use as swords and fire tend to take a lot of space from your screen. I understand that you might want to refrain from the usage of texture packs as they tend to look scary but a large proportion of the Bedwars and PvP community utilises texture packs as they are advantageous for many different gamemodes. I would highly recommend you to use some nice 128x or 256x 1.8 PvP texture packs but thin/short sword and fire texture packs are fine, that allow you to mitigate the space taken off your screen by these ginormous things part of the vanilla texture pack. 3. Use a client such as Lunar Client or Badlion Client or use mods with Forge. I've seen that in a recent video you've all used something (pretty sure it's Lunar client) like this but it seems most of you aren't using it in this video. I understand that it also displays a lot of random information but just configure the screen (might need to google it as it depends on the client/mod) by disabling or enabling certain things to restrict it to whatever you need. However, these clients provide a huge FPS boost (largely due to Optifine) which you might not need but many other features that might interest you. I encourage you to experiment around but understand it is not entirely possible due to your highly restrictive schedule. I personally enjoy Togglesprint and changing the colour of hitboxes. 4. Disable Bobbing & Disable Dynamic FOV/FOV Effects This just helps maintain some consistency, especially if you play with a higher FOV. I would personally recommend a FOV of anywhere from 70-90 for Bedwars if this is enabled under normal circumstances but obviously it's subjective. I understand it might feel more natural to some people to have it on but many Bedwars KZbinrs disable it. 5. Disable Clouds Self-explanatory (probably). Though, getting a texture pack with a nice sky overlay could help prevent it from looking boring. (6. Disable Unnecessary particles) This one's not necessary and it might feel counter-intuitive for entertainment purposes but it helps you see better. For instance, disabling explosion particles. You might want to leave all on though, as they do contribute to heightening the viewer's experience and some sweats also leave them on or partially on. 7. Enabling Togglesprint Self-explanatory. Not necessary per se. Chapter II: Early Game Even before the game starts, its important to consider a few things. Firstly, is folding from sweats. You can turn on Hypixel levels or certain overlays which help you see other people's stats but I wouldn't necessarily use overlays as they are controversial. However, Hypixel levels tend to be fine and are neither extremely accurate or precise but they are a decent indicator of whether they are sweaty. Furthermore, seeing parties join might indicate that they are sweaty, especially if they are nicked. With practice, you should be able to identify both nicks and sweats easily without searching them up on plancke or using an overlay. I personally don't do it because I'm often soloqueueing as I am what people consider a "sniper". I do not hack obviously but I enjoy playing against sweats to level up my game and muscle memory for performing clutch-like tasks or just having fun playing against strong players. 1. Understanding the map Most 4v4v4v4/3v3v3v3 maps are relatively more chill than Solo/Doubles maps but do be warned as sweats often rush at 16 iron, which is especially prevalent in semi-sweats but not exclusive to them, as certain strategies used by sweatier players also require faster bridging starting times. It's important to understand when the first part of your team leaves the generator, however this leads to my second point. 2. Generators multiply items & more As already mentioned in this video by Preston, the resources are multiplied by the amount of players in the generator and its standard will remain at 1.0x. Essentially, staying together in the generator allows you to harvest the full potential of it. This also means that there is also a thing called splitting, which I will mention further down in Techniques. I would generally also consider leaving the generator at 32-44 iron for the first 2 players and then a bit later for the two others and then one does the bed defense and one supports someone with TNT or otherwise somehow. Do consider to place down a bed defense earlier if people are rushing and make everyone leave the generator earlier obviously. Common sense applies. 3. Bed Defense It's important to do the Bed Defense and I would personally not suggest a gigantic bed defense but there are certain playstyles which could allow it but are rather boring and do not work well against skilled opponents. I would suggest efficiency, i.e., using different blocks for each layer and going for a TNT-proof bed defense that is not too large. I would suggest using endstone/wood for the center and expanding onto it with other blocks. Do take note that glass is TNT-proof but it's easy to break obviously, which means it is only viable for certain occassions but I do not recommend it to you unless you are doing the Butterfly bed defense. I would instead consider doing endstone and then wood, and then wool on top or just on the edges to prevent people from blocking in. 4. Rushing For rushing, you can either go (in teams preferably to) rush to either side or both sides for side-rush maps or go to the center. If you would go to the center, I would recommend bridging higher up than usual but do consider to bridge up as well for side rushes and monitor the opposing decisions and react accordingly. TNT-rushing works well if they are fighting another team as well or react too late to build up and hit you and blocking in is a Bedwars skill you might want to attempt trying as it is very effective and efficient for early game rushing. 5. Purchase effectively One of the most important things is to only stay in the generator to use the resources to purchase something valuable, not just to save up for stuff because it would be better left alone usually. I would recommend purchasing tier 1 tools (not always for the one rushing on the first run) and wool. Save up gold for Iron armour rather than to spend it on one-time use items. Getting early iron armour can be crucial for winning PvP encounters or even destroying a bed. Down at the end, I left a small part with important items and a description I used for an unfinished sniping guide but those items are extremely useful for clutching too as sniping requires a lot of clutching and they share similarities. I also added an item list without descriptions for more general gameplay. CONTINUATION IN REPLIES (1/3) I hope it is somewhat useful and free feel to DM me on Twitter @shadized for further inquiries. I'm happy to help. P.S. Please store your items in your ender chest (or team chest) before you go out. It's not worth risking the chance giving it to the opponent and each shopkeeper has an enderchest near it anyway.

(2/3) Chapter III: Game Sense Obviously game sense is something that requires time to get better at it but clearly building game sense with previous knowledge allows players to become much faster accustomed to the game as we've seen with newer players over and over again. 1. Rushing with reasonable gear/reasonable success chance I've seen it time and time again where people rush into bases with low gear where all opposing players are at their base. Not to say it doesn't work, but it heavily depends on whether they can see you. Casual bedwars players tend to be fairly simple. If they can't see your skin, they probably think it's a teammate as long as you don't act too suspicious. Your chance of destroying a bed increases if you are able to time when to go in or if you are able to block in, overwhelm them with teammates or other players, place a TNT on a non TNT-proof bed defense or sneak in somehow. You need to have situational awareness of the opposing players to increase your chances. A base is weak when players are not present at their base, i.e., many have escaped to the middle at the start of the game rushing other teams or they are busy getting diamonds, thus they have many bridge connections to their base or are not moving in the generator waiting for resources. This leads to my next point. 2. (Always) keep moving In Bedwars, it's important to keep moving, as not moving often times leads to inefficiency. Waiting for success might sometimes be crucial for sniping certain teams but it isn't usually the viable option. You shouldn't stay too long at a generator, whether it is a diamond or base generator or emerald generator. You might want to wait for new resources to spawn to get a specific upgrade or item but people are often on the run and before you know it, they are probably going to surprise attack you or rush your base before you can intercept or rush them. 3. Defeating strong players In a bedwars game, it is important to eliminate strong players, even if their bed is destroyed. Sweats really know how to clutch as long as they have emeralds or opponents without good cooperation. Of course you shouldn't stop thinking about other teams but in a case where multiple teams are attempting to target you, it might be a wise idea to then just claim the emerald spawners in the middle and maintain a good defense and get diamonds to strengthen the 4. Awareness of Bridge Connections and Available teams In a game where every team wants to destroy another team's bed, it's important to understand what other teams' objectives are. If they do not have any bridge connections, obviously they are considering to bridge somewhere to do something: Getting diamonds, rushing the team next to them, collecting emeralds. You name it. That is why you should use this information to your advantage and think what you can do to increase your chances of winning. Furthermore, being aware of your own bridge connections allows you to think about potential intruders that will want to go to your base to destroy the bed so you might want to consider counter-rushing them from these connections and are at the same time monitoring them whilst also getting further benefits from diamond generators or free base generators. 5. Initiating Bridge Connections & Considering Power Dynamic Initiating bridge connections has further implications. When a team intiiates a bridge connection, it means that both parties are able to travel through the same bridge and utilise its benefits. This means that there is a waste of resources and labour that is put into it, which is why bridge connections should be built in a way that helps your party more than theirs. Whether it is the composition of the available teams, the high bridge that prevents them from easy access to the bridge or other reason, you should always consider how you can take this to your advantage. It's furthermore the case that if they are fighting another team, it will cause power imbalances as this team will likely get eliminated but the team that was fighting them was much stronger. It might be better off fighting that team first as they are busy fighting the team you initially wanted to attack, as they are much stronger. It is quite self-explanatory but doing it consistently in-game requires time and practice as there are so many other things to consider. Furthermore, building multiple bridge connections helps reduce the likelihood of them seeing you and being fixated on certain players causing them to become unaware of other players. There's more to say but there are many bedwars gameplay videos on KZbin that demonstrate a considerably sophisticated understanding of the game sense in Bedwars. Feel free to DM me though for specific inquiries on Twitter @shadized. Chapter IV: Techniques 1. Splitting Splitting takes advantage of the multiplication of items by the amount of players in a generator by placing players close enough to the generator but are unable to collect them, so that when another teammate or one of the teammates enters it, the multiplication of items takes effect and all members will get the same amount of resources which has the multiplication effect. 2. Fastbridging/Speedbridging This technique involves shifting at the end of placing a block when bridging and unshifting after placing a block to place faster. It actually isn't that difficult to learn and just requires timing. Do not be intimidated by it and practice for 20-30min a day for a week and then you should be able to be reasonably good at it. Diagonal fastbridging might be a bit more difficult to learn but keep a positive mind and you'll get there. 3. Fireball/TNT Jumping Right after jumping, let a fireball or a TNT hit you to get an extra boost. It is extremely useful for travelling many blocks in a short amount of time without creating a connection. It is also useful to get the first hit in PvP encounters and can be used to fight players who build up very high. 4. MLG Ladder/Water Bucket Clutch Self-explanatory. For the ladder clutch, it has to be placed on a block and one has to hold shift on the ladder to avoid taking fall damage. 5. Blocking in Blocking in involves placing blocks around the player to create a wall when attempting to infiltrate a bed defense. As the player digs deeper into the bed defense, they continue to place blocks behind them. 6. Bridge PvP Techniques Being able to create bridges against rushing players allow you to jump on them and hit them off. Creating walls, side-bridges and staircases in bridge PvP encounters could potentially also help. Ladders are particularly useful in these encounters to avoid taking knockback but be aware that you will not have velocity in such scenarios so they also might get free hits. Chapter V: PvP 1. Sprint resetting One of the most important things to consider is sprint-resetting which is when you reset your sprint to reset the amount of knockback you deal. As you will deal less knockback if you hold W and continuously hit a player, sprint-resetting allows you to reset the knockback you deal to the standard, a.k.a. the maximum amount of knockback you can deal. This can be done by releasing and pressing W again each time you hit them or using any other technique each time they get hit such as pressing S key shortly, using your sword to block or shifting. 2. High CPS A higher CPS decreases the amount of knockback taken and might even improve hit registration. It also aids in block clutching for RMB. Mouse clicking techinques such as Jitter-clicking, Butterfly-clicking and Dragclicking however require practice and time and aren't that easy to learn for most people. Still, pretty much anyone can learn them within a month, some even within a week or two but completely mastering them likely takes more than a year. 3. Jump resetting Jump resetting involves jumping right after getting hit yourselves. It allows you to take more vertical knockback instead of horizontal. However improper use can allow you to get comboed. 4. Low-ground vs High-Ground Having the low-ground with 1 block often allows you to hit your opponent first as your reach is higher than theirs. 5. Block PvP By placing blocks in front of a player you can stop their movement, and thus the velocity of an opposing player, and consequently create a combo. 6. Bow PvP Using a bow, you can kill the velocity of another player's movement, allowing you to hit them first and combo-locking them by shooting them right before coming close. 7. Strafing By strafing, you can reduce the velocity to potentially combo-lock. The main benefit of strafing however is to use movement to take knockback in a specific way that is advantageous to you and to force their aim and movement to adapt to your strafing, but in turn restrict their PvP techniques. 8. Hitselecting Hitselecting involves hitting a player after they hit you, ideally allowing you to combo them. However, improper use can lead to you getting comboed yourself. 9. Aim Using F3+B gives you their hitbox which can be used for practice. Understanding where to hit allows you to do better at the game. This does depend a bit on your ping but generally, if you hit them lower they tend to Additionally, there's however something crucial I would like to mention and that is trying to place yourselves in areas where you have a wall or block behind u, allowing you not to get combo-locked easily or take much knockback. Most people already know this but just don't take advantage of it in-game. CONTINUATION IN REPLIES

(3/3) Chapter VI: Clutching Being good at clutching is very important for increasing your win-rate in Bedwars Games, as fast-paced games aren't always going to go well, and in the process, you might lose your bed. However, there are a few important things to consider for clutching. 1. Prioritizing getting emeralds Whilst not every game has the luxury of a free middle island, the emeralds are key to potions which can almost guarantee a free bed destruction. That is why after your bed is destroyed, it's important to purchase a lot of blocks, a gapple, a stone sword and a fireball. The fireball should be used to fireball jump away from enemies or back to your base so others won't be able to fire off a fireball in time to kill you. Either way, it is not necessary to a clutch but as a replacement, TNT and a lot of fireballs and golden apples would be the key. 2. Being aware of enemies and letting opposing teams fight each other Being able to become "invisible" is also important. You don't want opposing teams to think you are a threat and you don't want yourself to be seen as an easy final kill either. Just avoid players and fights for as long as possible, and let opposing teams fight each other while u collect emeralds or gear to destroy their bed. Try and see the connections to their base and find the right opportunity to fireball jump to their base or use potions and magic milk to infiltrate and leave their base. 3. Teammates Once your bed is destroyed, it is important that you are able to grasp the situation immediately and start preparations as fast as possible. However, it's important that although you should generally stick together for gathering emeralds if there are many players, you should only let one rush at a time if potions are involved as it is usually not worth risking more than one attempting to destroy their bed. 4. Elimination Once their bed is destroyed, it's likely that they have much better gear than u PvP-wise so either stick with your teammates and attempt using Iron golems and bows or if you're alone, try separating them or defeating them one by one. It's important to also consider the usage of fireballs and knockback sticks in 1v4 clutches and many gapples and escape routes. Chapter VII: Miscellaneous Items List For General Gameplay Early-Late Game 1. 64x+ Wool 2. Stone Sword 3. T1-T3 Tools (4. TNT) - depends on situation and whether you can easily get to their base safely to place it down 5. Iron Armour 6. Fireball Middle-Late Game 1. Gapples 2. Bow and Arrows 3. Potions 4. Iron Golems 5. Bridge Egg 6. Ender Pearl 7. Water Bucket 8. Upgraded Tools And more depending on the situation I kinda am repeating myself here but in case you didn't read it on (1/3): I hope it is somewhat useful and free feel to DM me on Twitter @shadized for further inquiries. I'm happy to help. P.S. Please store your items in your ender chest (or team chest) before you go out. It's not worth risking the chance giving it to the opponent and each shopkeeper has an enderchest near it anyway.
