if it was not for Cutler going down in that game Rodgers would have been Marino 2.0. Marino was the greatest thrower of the ball I had seen until Rodgers but never won the Super Bowl and the dolphins always had weak defenses and subpar running games. Hoping the Packers Defense improves with a new coordinator. the offense is good enough but the defense has to make the stops in the big games. Go Pack Go

If not for that botched onside kick in 2015… if only they weren’t the 31st ranked pass defense in 2016… if only they didn’t give up 31 to TB in 2021… see how easy it is to do “what ifs”? It happens the way it happens. End of story.

If the packers manage to get to two SuperBowls then they will have surpassed the Aaron Rodgers/ Mike McCarthy era. If Love/Matt Lafluer manage to get to three SuperBowls then they will surpass Farve/Holmgren era. If they manage to win all three and make a fourth then they will be spoken in the same breath as Bart Starr and Vince Lombardi

Once again this team continues to be disrespected. Nothing new for the Packers. But that's a positive because this team has ALWAYS excelled when they were underestimated! It's when they've been favored & expected to win they have been miserable failures. Two Hall of Fame QBs for 30 years plus but only 2 Superbowl victories to show for it. Jordan Love proved last season when he protects the ball he is an absolute baller. With the master Tom Clements returning to coach him another season things look bright! Can he turn Jordan Love into another great ball control QB as he did with Aaron Rodgers? Remember he helped Brett Favre decrease his interceptions & become a HOF QB! Kyler Murray the other young QB he mentored has turned into a decent QB for a midget! First half of the 2023 season when Jordan was throwing interceptions he struggled greatly. Down the stretch in the last 9 games he had 18 tds with only 1 interception & balled! If Love can continue to protect the ball this team will be a serious Superball contender. Next step in Love's progression now is to prove he can play in the clutch when it counts most! He chocked late in games throwing interceptions when he needed a TD to win those games. He did that also at the end of the San Francisco game as well. A team GB should have beaten. Had Matt run the ball with Jones instead of throwing 6 incompletions on 1st downs 1st half. Had he done so they'd beaten the Lions & KC for the second time last season to win the SB! Let's just hope Matt has learned to lean into his run game & will run on 1st downs this year. The Packers struggled start of last season winning the time of possession battle each game. Matt is a offensive passing guru for certain but I sure wish he'd lean in his run game more! Matt needs to do a much better job of controlling the clock & winning the time of possession. This team made all the right moves during this off season. Kudos to Gutekunst & his staff! They added & signed two premium big money free agents in Xavier McKinney & Josh Jacobs. Gutekunst looks like he had another excellent draft grabbing some big names again in 2024. He certainly looks like he hit it out of the park on day two grabbing Cooper, Bullard & Lloyd! If this draft class is as good as last two were this team should absolutely excel this season. They also let the underachievers walk (Darnell Savage, Josiah Deguara & Jon Runyan Jr). Mr. Royce Newman your next! Time to cut this stiff which will gain GB 3.1 million vs the cap! Stokes & Myers better excel this season or they also should be cut loose end of this season. Next draft should be about replacing Kenny Clark & Preston Smith. Two Packer greats. But both are aging & their games deteriorating. Those contracts are just too expensive now. Youth makes more sense now so I would assume this is on Gutekunst's radar in 2025 draft. This offense should be an absolute juggernaut this season. Improving with experience. The backfield & strong running game can only compliment that deep WR/TE core they have. If they can add 2 solid O line players with Elgton Jenkins & Zach Tom it can be elite again. GB's offense is as potent as any team in this league bar none! No defense that scares me. It's the addition of the new defensive coaches, a new defensive philosophy & scheme is key. GB injected majority of it's draft capital into it's defense & O line where it was needed most. I'm a very excited to see them pick up E Cooper a bonified run stuffing specialist in the draft. Top ILB in this draft! With an improved back end should be able continue to focus on the run. The Packers must prove this season they can finally stop the run game vs any team they play. 4 games last season vs run teams - ATL, PITT, DET, NYG all of whom went 200+ on ground! This team needs a top 10 defense if they want to compete for the Superbowl this season. That new backend looks to have the potential to be a top 5 secondary provided Jaire is back. Alexander needs to earn that big fat paycheck after 2 injury riddled seasons & subpar play. This unit needs to get turnovers. Something GB have always been leaders at in this league. Past couple of seasons GB have struggled winning the turnover battle. That needs to change. It's time for Rich Bisaccia to prove his worth! Packers special teams must excel this year. With the return of Tyler Davis the Packers best special teams player two season ago. Plus the addition of strong teams specialist in the draft & also resigning of most key teamers. He has disputably the best returner in the NFL in Keisean Nixon new kick rules should help. It's time for this unit to be among the league leaders & not underachieve once again! Anders Carlson must improve in year two with more consistency in his kicking game. Remember he was perfect thru first 7 games last season before struggling rest of the year. This team should end up in the NFC championship game if they play to their potential. Where they will likely face the SF 49ers their kryptonite! That needs to change in 2024-25! Go Pack Go!

The Green Bay Packers added plenty of new faces to a defense that has a new defensive coordinator and a new defensive scheme this NFL season. After departing from their usual strategy by taking an offensive player in the 1st round, the Green Bay Packers focused on defense with 5 of their next 7 draft picks in the NFL draft that concluded Saturday. The Packers are switching from a 3-4 defense to a 4-3 defensive scheme under Jeff Hafley as our new defensive coordinator, the former Boston College head coach who took over for the former fired Packers defensive coordinator Joe Barry. The Packers loaded up at safety, their biggest weakness during the 2023-24 NFL season in which they went 9-8 and becoming the 1st NFC 7th seed team to reach the divisional round of the playoffs, by selecting Georgia’s Javon Bullard in the 2nd round (58th overall 2024 NFL Draft Pick), Oregon’s Evan Williams in the 4th round (111th overall 2024 NFL Draft Pick), and Oregon State’s Kitan Oladapo in the 5th round (169th overall 2024 NFL Draft Pick). They already signed former New York Giants safety Xavier McKinney to a 4-year, $68 million contract last month. The Packers also believe that they got a boost at linebacker after selecting Edgerrin Cooper of Texas A&M in the 2nd round (45th overall 2024 NFL Draft Pick), and Ty’Ron Hopper of Missouri in the 3rd round (91st overall 2024 NFL Draft Pick). Green Bay wasn’t as aggressive in targeting pass rushers or cornerbacks. The Packers didn’t draft any defensive linemen, and the only cornerback they took was Kalen King of Penn State in the 7th round (255th overall 2024 NFL Draft Pick). They might have been influenced by good news about the health of cornerback Eric Stokes and edge rusher Kingsley Enagbare. Eric Stokes played 9 games in 2022, and 3 games in 2023 due to injury, but Matt Lafluer said Sunday that the 2021 1st-round NFL Draft Pick is “full go”. Brian Gutekunst said that the ACL injury Kingsley Enagbare suffered late last season might not have been the complete tear the Packers initially feared. Green Bay also selected Arizona offensive tackle Jordan Morgan in the 1st round (25th overall 2024 NFL Draft Pick), Southern Cal’s running back Marshawn Lloyd in the 3rd round (88th overall 2024 NFL Draft Pick), Duke’s offensive linemen Jacob Monk in the 5th round (163rd overall 2024 NFL Draft Pick), Georgia State offensive linemen Travis Glover in the 6th round (202nd overall 2024 NFL Draft Pick), and Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt in the 7th round (245th overall 2024 NFL Draft Pick). Jordan Morgan joins Jordan Love taken as the 26th overall Draft pick in 2020 as the only 1st-round NFL draft picks the Packers have used on offensive players in the last 13 NFL drafts. Jacob Monk and Travis Glover will try to continue the Green Bay Packers history of finding quality offensive linemen on the final day of the draft. Travis Glover and Jacob Monk have the versatility that Green Bay wants from its linemen. Jacob Monk’s 58 career starts at Duke included 34 at right guard, 12 at right tackle and 12 at center. Travis Glover had multiple starts at left tackle, left guard and right tackle. The Packers also believe that Jordan Morgan could play at either guard or tackle spot. Matt Lafluer said that Jordan Morgan will work 1st at left tackle, the position he played at Arizona. Javon Bullard is the latest Georgia defensive player to get drafted in the 1st 2 rounds by the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay selected Georgia cornerback Eric Stokes with the 29th overall NFL Draft Pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. The Packers used their 2022 1st-round selections on Georgia teammates, taking linebacker Quay Walker 22nd overall and defensive linemen Devonte Wyatt 28th overall. Michael Pratt, who threw for a school-record 9,602 career yards and 90 touchdowns at Tulane, will compete with 2023 5th-round NFL Draft Pick Sean Clifford for the right to back up quarterback position for Jordan Love. Michael Pratt said that he and Sean Clifford know each other very well. The Packers got major contributions from cornerback Carrington Valentine and safety Anthony Johnson Jr last year after drafting both players in the 7th round. They’d love a similar payoff from Kalen King, who was rated as a potential early-round 2024 NFL draft pick after a disappointing 2023 college football season. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛
