F2P Challenge rules:
No Paid DLC.
No money can be spent or rather used.
If a Character requires money to join, Farina, Rennac, Hugh..., you must give the lowest money possible to join. That character can't be used for anything else than trading, meatshielding and moving only for the forced deployed maps. Its inventory can't be use either so I suggesst discarding it as soon as possible.
General rules
Highest difficulty possible for the challenge( Awakening can be done in Lunatic, don't ask me for japanese exclusive titles).
No deaths
Full recruitment
Max paralogues (3 Houses not really)
Those three requirements are ordered.
Engage challenge specific rules
Free DLC only, heroes DLC and update one which is steel weapons and 3K.
Paid DLC is banned, obviously.
I point out that this also means no Well.
Relay trials and improving engage weapons are not permitted either.
No skirmishes. Only story maps and paralogues can and must be done.
Other:
The well would have been forbidden even if it was a feature at release due to giving everything you could want, Healing, promotion items, strong weaponry...
Not a rule, Emblem paralogues will be done previous to the story map whose recomended level is the same with the exception of Lyn which will be done after.
Reason: Lyn paralogue's recommended level is wrong being that low. Enemies are stronger than Lucina's which shares the same recomended level and the game skips one recommended level after those two.
As for bond rings, to avoid abusing one family of bond rings I won't create bond rings of an emblem ring if I have unlocked all 10 at any level unless I have unlocked all the bond rings currently available.
Bond ring creation is made offscreen but I don't remember if you could discard them or not so I might show the ones I have on preps If you don't trust.

Why do so many FE games include pay to win elements?

@@JasonGodwin69 Why's that you're asking? If you mean DLC, I believe FE Awakening was the first Nintendo game with that. And DLC as you said was mainly made to make the game easier. There's no DLC within this challenge. Not like No DLC makes this challenging.
