Goats were tangled up in haphazardly discarded rope. And the pigs were fed three times a week. If a goat or sheep died. It was left where in dropped. It made me sick. That's GOTTA feel SO much better! I've met people with horses, and a look at the hooves should be done daily, with feeding, watering, and grooming. The crap stuck in the hoof COULD'VE gotten lodged there in just one day, but all that excess nail took time to grow. I hope the critter gets proper care from here on out.

Well, Donkeys are very much prey animals so showing signs of pain is like waving a flag that they are a weak or sickly prey animal so Donkey's will do everything to hide their pain. A donkey owner needs to be very vigilant as many have come in from pasture or gone on with daily tasks with major pain or wounds and hidden the pain. Horses will show they are lame. If a donkey is showing it then it's to a severe point.

Don’t worry everyone, the nerves and pain sensors in a horse’s, donkey’s, and zebra’s hoof are real deep in the foot, it might actually be liking this, since that is the donkey’s equivalent of a nail like the ones on our fingers, just a lot bigger and thicker, so it’s more getting a pedicure, and if this guy wasn’t doing this it would make walking difficult, uncomfortable, and painful for the animal.
