This is so utterly beautiful. I always cry on the bit where he says 'it's time to go home'. The longing for me was not gentle. It burned and burns through clearing all thoughts of separation.

Every urge, want, desire, wish, need, longing that we experience in Life is a manifestation in this material realm of the Heart's incessant, insatiable longing to experience Unity in Oneness. The Heart is our connection between the material and the spiritual realms; it speaks as our inner voice of inspiration and guidance; it is the locus of the essence of one's self. It is through the Heart that we experience Love, and it is the flow of Love that connects us with All and Everything. The covering over of the Heart and its message for us by the ego results in our inner pain and darkness, because we cut ourselves off from our inner source of Light. When we learn to quiet ourselves, we can begin to hear the voice of the Heart, hear with the ears of the Heart and see with the eyes of the Heart. And we can begin to find our way Home. ~Siraj-al-Haqq

I have listened to this many times, it always has the same affect, I cry. The truth has this affect, but it's not on an intellectual level, it's the truth as told to the soul.

So Beautiful it does make you wanna cry when he says it's " time to go home ". Those are strong and powerful words. And at the end when they messed up the sand drawing, I was about to CRY. that was so beautiful and INCREDIBLE and shows what you can do with team work. Each person had to rely on the other person's good eye and perfectionism to achieve what they accomplished.

The destruction of the sand mandala by the monks shows that everything in this world is 'impermanent', nothing will last forever.

Achingly beautiful words by Llewellyn Vaughan Lee (and Rumi), that Sufism is about a sacred love affair with his Beloved, that "begins within the heart and ends within the heart." For some "The longing" and for others a discontent, seeking something stirring deep beneath the surface -- the higher self sends a message to the human being "it's time to go home, back to where you belong, time to discover what you really are"

Very good. The narration carries an important message and the music and video were suitable. However, in my opinion, the level of the music should be lower compared to the level of the narration. The message, which is surely the most important, is in danger of being drowned out. This would be doubly so for the many people with even minor hearing impediments.

"There is a beautiful Sufi saying: "Sufism was at firs heart ache only later it became something to talk about." And this is how for many people the spiritual path begins, with this pain within the heart, the Sufis call it longing. For some it begins more with a discontent, for some reason life no longer fulfills them in its form which they have become accustom. Everyday life is no longer enough. And they do not know why. An they begin to look. The look for a spiritual path, they look for a teacher, they look within themselves, because something is stirring, something is stirring deep within the surface. ...There are stage on the journey,stages on the path of love . The wayfarer, the traveler on the path of love must go through. And although for each of us the journey is totally unique and individual because we are each totally unique and individual, we are each a unique note in the symphony of life, in a symphony of Souls. At the same time we all pass through stages on this journey , the journey of no return., on this journey that begins with the home sickness of the HEART....."

what was the very last word?
@josef56756 жыл бұрын
Last word: Him (in my opinion) In context: „which is the moment, really, when the beloved looks into the heart of his lover, and he fuels it with divine love. He makes you remember, that somewhere, before the beginning of dying, you will walk with him. I just wrote the complete text for those who want to google-translate to their native language. There are some words indeed that are not 100% audible.

Sufism sufism ... sufism is Islam. we just call the religion of God by different names. We belong to God and to him we shall return.
